They're still trainers yes, but it's because of the high cost of them and the inability to replace them should they be damaged by said snow later that I am worried. Snow and trainers do not a good mixture make.

Well that would have been smarter, but I really didn't think it was going to snow here. I've just bought some boots, so I'll have them couriered over and then all will be well.

What are they J0e? I'd guess at Y-3 but I think we had a conversation about Mulberry once so wouldn't surprise me if it was something stylish like Lanvin? Or some Rapstar hyped Nikes?

Whatever they are I'm sure they're no Ridge Racer 7 (unless the ?350 was the cost of putting a PS3 and Ridge Racer inside the soles and turning the laces into very long dual sticks)

They're Nike Air Max 1. That might sound nothing special, but these are 26-year-old Nike Air Max 1 from 1987.

I remember the first time I saw a kid wearing heelies.

I was in Las Vegas and a kid was effortlessly gliding across a bridge at the Venetian.

I was instantaneously gripped with awe and envy that, as an adult, I couldn't get away with wearing a pair.

My point is, all that expense on a pair of trainers and they don't even have wheels, J0e!

I'm at the other end of the scale, all I wear is converse, and I get irked when they aren't old, dirty and beat up. Then I only get that small window of time with them looking just right before they give up the ghost and fall apart.

I've tried on Converse so many times. I feel like a special needs person when I've got them on. I should just go for it and not look at my own feet maybe?
