I was trying to snipe it myself, ?45 was my max bid though.

Shame really as it's the one I've always wanted since forever.

Survived a week snowboarding like a boss only to slice open my thumb (on my own razor) at gatwick waiting for my luggage. Blood everywhere, women fainting. They insisted I let a medic look at it. Medic my arse. He was a baggage handler with a bandage.

"I'm in the area mate, are you at home?"
"I'll be at your place soon, will you be there?"

Then, when he got here, he phoned again and asked me to let him in through the security gate downstairs. Thing is, I don't have a key to that gate because I don't have a car- my mum has it, for when she comes around in her boyfriend's car. It's never usually a problem- everybody else visiting the flat just parks in the adjacent road, which is empty. So I told him that I don't have a key and why, and that he can park in the other road and walk around. Then he immediately said "I don't know where that is" then hung up and drove off, while I was still expecting him to come upstairs. Phoned him half an hour later to see where he is and his mobile was going straight to voicemail.

Bloody prima donna. Literally couldn't be bothered to listen to where the road was and walk around the corner. I'll bet that he's told his bosses that I refused access to the property, too.

Edit: Told his bosses that there was nobody here to take the call and when I told them that wasn't true, they said that he had a schedule to keep and probably felt that he had to move on to the next call. A schedule that will apparently be tipped completely out of balance by a two minute walk. I can't believe that I was bleaching my kitchen floor and all of the surfaces for this last night. Now I have to go and pick up the gate key from my mum's because he couldn't be bothered to park around the corner.

        Utter, utter twat.
Sums up the British attitude to work in so many cases.

This whole story about Batman apprehending and turning in a suspect in Bradford, the local police themselves, on their own facebook page last night, commented that it had become apparant that he was known to the man being 'handed in', he had a warrant out for him and police had been urging his family to get him to hand himself in, so he did, albeit with a comedy twist by getting someone dressed up as Batman to do it.

The thing that annoys me about this is that journalists are paid to research and present ALL the facts as far as I can tell, yet this is all over the news and I haven't seen this mentioned once, I don't care if it's just a bit of light hearted news! Or maybe i'm just a miserable nit-picking sod today.

Microsoft Office is now a yearly-subscription package, as I discovered today. The guy in PC World was all "with this package you get all the updates for free!" That's great, except that I don't care about f***ing updates given that I only ever use Word. I mean I'm recently turned 18 and he was telling me how it'll aid my small business... I told him how I only needed it for university so business benefits don't matter to me and he still didn't stop. Has there even been any significant changes to Word since 2007? And even then it was all interface stuff. You don't need to change the way I word process goddammit.

Put a SNES back on my desk yesterday. Got a mintier copy of SMK through the post, to replace my Player's Choice version. Not the best course of action when I'm in study "crunch" mode and have been for two weeks. The SNES has now been banished to another room, while I sit here and mope.

                    I need a holiday.

The ridiculous lack of joined of databases in HMRC.

I've just received a letter telling me that if my self employed income is above ?5k~ I have to pay NICs and that if it's less than that I will have to fill out form CF10 to apply for an exemption. But seriously, wtf??? I've completed my tax return. HMRC knows exactly how much my self employed income is. Why on earth are they asking me to fill out a form? Why don't they just start taking the money (or not)?

The only possible reason I can think of is that they are hoping that lots of people who earn under ?5k will be too lazy to fill out the form so the HMRC will get extra funds.

                      The mind boggles.

OMG. The form is asking me to fill out all the details of my income from PAYE income etc too. THEY ALREADY HAVE THIS INFO. WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY?

And they expect me to pay for a stamp and an envelope because it's not an online form. THIS IS ****E.

Ah, just found out that Tim Dog, one of my 'favourite' rappers pegged it quite some time back, he was a bit of a scallywag in his business dealings, a bad rapper and generally not a nice chap, according to most accounts but I really liked his records and wanted him to make some more!!!!

Ah, well, karma, I guess, he was only 46 when he pegged it.
