I was watching channel 4 news and this program about people who are overweight but have no idea why came on. Since I was browsing the web I left it on in the background and this is what I overheard (quoted as spoken):-

I have no idea why I am as big as I am. I do not think I eat enough food to make me this big. I even have a medium salad from time to time. I actually prefer the salad to all the pasties and McDonalds.

the VITA wake up alarm my other half had borrowed my phone so decided to use the vita alarm .....it is useless far to quiet and lasts literally only a few seconds

Woken up today by the earthquake warning alarm on my phone. I didn't even know that my phone had such a thing! It seems that the earthquake agency can send a warning message and accompanying alarm straight to my phone!

This is obviously a very good thing and a great idea, this is not what irks me. But the alarm was the scariest thing I'd ever heard! I thought aliens were invading! Scared the hell out of me given it was 5:30am in a pitch black room. The actual earthquake that came a few minutes later wasn't remotely as scary.
