I just recently have put some lighting in my Detolfs and Besta. I originally had the one light at the the top of the detolf, then i replaced that with a strip of led lights at the top and with both i had the problem of the light just not reaching far enough down, espeicially with a big statue at the top.

So i recently bought some 5 Meter strips of LED lights which can be cut every 3 LEDs. So i cut each 5 Meters into 2 1.5 meter strips and 2 1 meter strips, soldering 2 core wire onto the end and daisy chaining them. The 2 1.5 Meters go down the full length of the Detolf giving light to all the shelves and as i have pairs of Detolfs i found i only needed 1 strip at either side to light up both units.

The other 1 meter strips were put in my Besta above each shelf. So far i've done 6 Detolfs and a whole 6 Besta cubes for ?24. I've got 5 more detolfs to go and i need to pick up a couple of AC Adaptors as it seems anything over 6 meters of lighting and the Ac Adaptor gives up.

Couple of Phone pics so do excuse me btw all my lights are the Day/White type, the ones on the Besta came out blue because of the stupid phone.

Also have wires everywhere at the min until i have them all set up properly

Led running down the inside of the frame, doesn't bother the door at all.



1 LED strip on either side i find is enough for some subtle lighting.

Ah thanks for taking the time to do some pics, so it is possible to use those strips to give off enough light. They definately seem bright enough for the job. Weirdly enough there seems to be no tutorials online for proper info on the subject, looks like it's DIY time. I'll post pics if i'm successful, i have a stupid amount of figures just boxed up & doing nothing as i never had the cabinet set up properly, time to rectify that. Seems a shame to have bought them & have them sat in boxes.

As I only have 7 TF's and I'm not really a collector all those are simply on a shelf at the moment. Therefore don't have any impressive displays. That said don't have the space too without moving the other half and kids out!

As I only have 7 TF's and I'm not really a collector all those are simply on a shelf at the moment. Therefore don't have any impressive displays. That said don't have the space too without moving the other half and kids out!

Arthas is only supposed to be 1/6 apparently, he's 19 inches tall with the base though, so pretty big for a 1/6. Also he's probably the most detailed statues i have and he's heavier than any other statue i have lol.

I can imagine most of the online model sellers like ami ami, hobby link Japan ect will be selling them Mark, hell i imagine even amazon Japan will probably have them too.

As cool as Megatron is, Soundwave would of made more sense for a Megadrive cross over with cartridges and pads that turn into Rumble Ravage and Laserbeak
