For those who like a bit of GI Joe I'd recommend you watch the Resolute series, it was written by the great Warren Ellis and had a much more adult tone, its really excellent.

Also check out the IDW comics as they do some great hardback collections.

And finally if you like the 2nd movie check out the extended action version on bluray, not only does it add a few more scenes and adds in some extra and more gruesome kills it completely re-edits the movie moving a lot of scenes around ( the Jinx initiation part for instance is its own thing at the start of the movie now instead of being cut up into chunks later in the movie ) and it's a much much better film for it imo!

Yeah I do think if you are doing G1 then you do need a 'Bee whether you like him or not he is one of the most important G1 characters after Prime & Megs IMO...

Agree with most of this, in that I never personally was bothered about Bumblebee at all as a kid. Hound, Mirage, Jazz et all would be much more welcome additions. Think I might have said this before elsewhere in this thread.

Anyway I did earlier in the week join the Wheeljack preorder club. Really 50/50 about him but figured that he's not that expensive. Grimlock (reissue), SB and the dinobots haven't appealed in the end despite thinking about them so that's it for me at the moment.

Bumblebee will depend on the mould being shown off, like you said. Magnus - again take him of leave him will depend on what he looks like etc.

I've been really impressed with AE since I've been using them but I've gone with Kapow for Wheeljack this time.

'Bee was always annoying but he acted as the human element to help keep the kids in touch.

Glad to hear you got in on Wheeljack, I don't think you'll be sorry, I reckon he's going to be one of the best.

I think so.
He'll be G1 Accurate for a start & will be a perfect fit with the rest of the MP line.

I understand the thoughts coming from the Binaltech line, the lack of diecast on recent releases has made them feel cheaper but the price has been better for it.
I'm actually all for the lack of diecast I prefer them without personally.

I can't wait to see the reveals for the rest of the '84 line up so much potential.

Yeah I guess I see where you are coming from, they would be great but as a casual collector then I can see why they would also be easy to pass on.

It also seems that Fanstoys aren't the only 3rd party outfit taking a crack at the Dinobots as 2 new companies have teased shots.

Now when I say unexpected what I mean is that I never expected it this quickly, AE shipped it on Friday & it arrived today.
I've had stuff from the UK take longer than this.

EMS from Japan to the UK is always about that fast. The basic quote would be 3 to 5 days at worse.

The only thing that got me was that there was a weekend involved as well that's what's surprising.
My last TF from AE was shipped EMS as well but that took longer than this.

I have no idea as some are so blatant but to be fair I'm glad they do.

It's pretty obvious that Takara have no interest in doing the rest of the Dinobots (Grimlocks been out for years) so a 3rd party picking up what they don't want is fine by me & gives collectors what they really want

Yeah I thought the G2 Sideswipe was to have the regular autobot insignia tampograph and optional stickers to put over it if you wanted? Does it only have the stickers?

G2 was weird it was just recolours & didn't really do much else.
I was out of the toy buying phase by then so didn't keep up on it too much

As for the Stickers it comes with G2 style insignia & also G1 along with a raft of other stuff.

I think I'll be leaving mine stickerless.
