Decided to step up my game, fed up of using a brush to paint everything & getting uneven finishes on large areas of painting. Decided to bite the bullet & go for a decent airbrush. Will finally be able to paint how i want to, i'll still use brushwork for super fine detail but it means i can do gradient work too, one of the model kits i have coming demands it as i couldn't pull that off using brushes (well not easily anyway)

few posts up, see that smoke plume on the robonyan figure. No way that will be easy with a brush.

Bowen Designs Frankenstein.

This might actually be the last new Bowen statue i get as they haven't re-nogatiated their license with Marvel yet and it's been months and months, all of us have our fingers crossed it will happen though!

So this is Marvels Frankenstein again sculpted by Randy himself ( he did Dracula & Zombie too ) and it's just fantastic, no one sculpts monsters like RB, details are just amazing, paint apps are just fantastic, nice large statue with a simple but effective base!

Also got this on signed by RB but typically forgot to take a pic of the base lol. If Randy doesn't get the Marvel license again i hope he'll at least do a Wolfman inspired by "Werewolf by Night" in the same scale just to finish them up ....Manphibian would be good too lol.

Think it's still unreleased, not seen it on any of the hobby figure sites for sale or for preorder yet.

Got this a week or so ago.

I gotta say i'm not the biggest Cap fan, i love him in the movies and i love him in Avengers/New Avengers and where ever he pops up in the Marvel comic universe but i've never read Cap's comic, i like Cap but he's no up there with my faves and I've never bothered about getting a statue of him.

So i ordered this kind of on a whim i got a great deal on him andd i loved the original Ultimates comics......but WOW. Just WOW.

Truly knocked out with the amount of detail and overall quality of this piece. The Bike is phenomenal, metal, rubber tires, clear lights just amazing.

Couple of things that would have taken this over the top for me though. A WW2 themed base ( although i do think it looks classy on the normal base ) and maybe a light up feature for the bike.

Good to see more MP's over here. Would have bought Prowl if I didn't already have him, and Sunstorm looks OK.

That Ultra Magnus looks great though. Possible stupid question time but is it simply armour for a Prime mould like the original toy or a self contained figure?

I know I actually would still have picked up Prowl anyway if he'd been about ?20-?30 cheaper but ?60 is way too much IMO

It had been said previously that it should be armour like the original toy but tbh I'm not too sure myself.
The pic in Alt mode looks like 2 separate pieces (Prime & armour) but the pic in Robot mode makes it almost impossible to say for sure.

Yea, that's what made me ask the question - in the robot mode picture it doesn't look like separate armour. And that trailer is an awful lot of plastic to just be armour. Intriguing.

I imagine Prowl will see price cuts if you wait long enough, a bit like Acid Storm and prime did. Acidstorm went as low as ?40 in the end, it still doesn't help that they have priced him so high when you consider the TRS MP prime was only ?100 full rrp, this is a real step in the wrong direction.
