I have about 20 fb friends, all real friends that I see regularly (other than those abroad). I do have someone in my fl who apparently has several hundred friends; more people than I've actually even met in real life.
I have 321 people on my list and all people I like very much. I may not get to see them but a message here and a comment there is all it takes from time to time. Some have emigrated, some have families like me, some are traveling the world. All of them are contactable on one page though which makes life so easy.

321 is also a fraction of the people I know in life too. If I added everyone I have had a drink, good time, event, etc with it would be well into the 1000's.

Surely Twitter is worse than Facebook?

Twitter is awesome. You can beat on Facebook all you like but if you start on Twitter you and me will be having words.

Yep, I'm a tweeter but I love twitter for info. It's just one of those places where it's so easy to follow the people who spread the articles you want. Stuff I'd otherwise miss. And not just Pokemon fanart and Sherlock gifs like I'd find on Tumblr.

Don't have facebook or twitter. Don't give 2 ****s about them for social aspects either.

My wife however has started her own business and it is amazing the business she has gained from Facebook alone. She has a business Facebook page and used it to show off her product and spread the word. She also encourages her friends to share the page which brings it to the attention of none friends, who share it and bring it to the of..........

                    Positives and negatives hey!

You don't have to follow the people posting that art you know.

Twitter... it's a whole other discussion, for me... it makes Facebook look like a futuristic revelation.

Facebook. Meh. Only ever been a source of problems while I was with my ex.

Me and a lot of my friends are Facebook and Twitter free, and we have no need for either of them, even when I moved to a different country. Mails, Skype, phone...more than enough to keep in contact without having to rely on an incredibly invasive website.

You have a thing for flat-chested women?

                                1) She got death threats after jokingly calling her friend a "cracker" which actually brought her to tears (remember at the time we were in Japan and they were in Canada, so not particularly theatening IMO). When another friend defended her, the same guy threatened her as well.

                                2) When she'd decided that we were over, everyone (including me I think) found out because she changed her relationship status to "It's Complicated". To her it seemed doing that made more sense than trying to work it out.
