Little Things That Irk You 3 1/3: The Final Insult

Parents sent me a parcel of stuff today, and it looks like somebody has tried to play rugby with it or something. Completely battered.

It was posted from the UK by my parents using FedEX (not cheap), and got held up at French customs because they reckoned that there were items in the box that were undeclared (which was not true) and FedEX had to contact my parents. After much discussion and fretting, we figured out that the people at the French customs hadn't turned over the freaking page and found the rest of the items listed on the back. The FedEX lady (who was very nice about it) then proceeded to write a rather sarcy email back to the French customs. The package then reaches Osaka (via China). The poor delivery guy was very apologetic when he delivered it. It's safe to assume that the damage did not happen in Japan, my money is on the French customs.

Luckily nothing was critically damaged. the advent calendars were a tad bent (though not catastrophically - I can still give one to my girlfriend with no shame), the box for the mince pies was rather bent but miraculously the pies are fine. Even the glass candle inside is in one piece. Quite incredible given the state the parcel arrived in.

I'm giving FedEX the benefit of the doubt because it's not in their interests to damage their own parcel, clearly somebody at the French customs who didn't give a crap, or was annoyed by FedEX being sarcy with them.

Was watching a Battlefield 4 stream earlier and realised I had absolutely no interest in the genre anymore.

Was stood in the queue in Wilkinsons yesterday & the woman in front of me stank of what smelt like a combination of ****, piss & B.O.
That irked me, & nearly made me vom!!

Also, is it currently fashionable for women to wax off their eyebrows completely & then draw on totally unconvincing cartoon ones?
I see lots of birds doing this & it looks f*ckin terrible!!!

Dude, I posted the same thing weeks ago.Why!?????? It's like what I imagine a cyborg womans eyebrows to look like. Like, they have eyebrows and **** but they're not convincing at all.

Misuse of the word 'irony'.

Football fans, took the kids to Leeds to the thought bubble comic con that was at the royal armouries, on walking through town there is a massive crowd of chanting idiots being kettled through the city Center we had to move pretty fast to get out of the way of the advancing crowd and swarm of police.

On the way back to the train after the comic con, ambulances and police everywhere, looks like it kicked off big style, so two trips through Leeds City center and and neither felt that safe place to be walking with my kids.

It's a game where people kick a leather ball about for 90 minutes is all this hassle violence and aggression really worth all this not to mention how much it must cost the amount of police needed to escort a few hundred fans who can't seem trusted to get to a sodium on there own.

I played too many games that didn't require mindless grinding for access to decent gear.

Prefer the likes of Call of Duty 1, 2 and Counter-Strike 1.6, Source to Battlefield. Battlfield 2 specifically, although I enjoyed that a little.
