My wife met up with one of her friends for lunch on Sunday who has a (very) highly paid job in the city. Apparently she was complaining that she didn't get enough bonus this year, despite having an "average" performance! People who work for financial companies in london seem to be on a different planet!

3 things.

1. People that don't slow down for puddles cos they are in a 4x4. Yes yes wonderful for you. Not so much for me, with water from the huge bough wave firing into my scoops and ruining my MAF sensor. Besides, I can't see anything for a second until my windscreen clears.

2. The amount of stuff that gets passed around facebook without people stopping to think if it's real. e.g. Don't stare at a bbq with contact lenses because they will melt and make you go blind.... sigh. Or the even more incredible one about not using cruise control in the rain (which is good advice) because when you aquaplane, you speed up and take off. WTF!!! lol - there are lots of supposedly intelligent people passing this around. I thought they were joking, but they said "noooo it's true!!!". er... no, you shouldn't use cruise control in the rain because if you aquaplane, you should avoid using the brakes and just ease off the throttle (which you can't do quickly if cruise is turned on). There was even a pic of a car nowhere near a road wrapped around a tree and made up quotes from the driver saying "the car took off into the air going faster and faster" LOLOLOLOL. One of the people sending it round was a road safety officer. Save us.....

3. The amount of stuff on youtube that have huge clicks because the thumbnail has a semi-clad girl on it. Are millions of people retarded? Youtube doens't allow filth. Stop looking for it on youtube.

Ah, yes. LaTex. Never bothered with it, myself. I used Equation Editor and a downloaded LaTex font if I remember.
