I still Rate Byron has the best of the posh burger chains in the UK.
Five guys was nice, but it's all pretty low rent considering it's the same setup as a McDonalds.

We went to Shake Shack a few times in NYC, they are the best ones I've had in a more fast foody place.

Will have to check out Byron, a Shake Shack is opening in Westfield Stratford soon, will be there too.

There's a Shake Shack in Covent Garden - I'd put them above Five Guys on the 'fast food' burger joints, too. There's also a Five Guys opening in Ealing, so I'm pretty excited/terrified in equal measure.

When I hear "Shake Shack", all I can think of is this:

I'm a big fan of the super size XL bacon double cheeseburger meal at Burger King. Just under ?8 and fills me up every time.

Of course, the quality of food is better at Five Guys but I'm a cheapass.

I did like the drink vending machine though, touch screen that used the same nozzle for all the drinks. Technology!

Byron is bloody awful compared to the sadly departed Hamburger Union.

Eight quid Speedy! hardly call that a cheapass fast food meal. You would be better off buying two of their ?3.79 meals.

Know what you mean about the drinks machines, the ones in Pizza Hut are better though, they have aboue six variations on Pepsi and Fanta, a strawberry milkshake Pepsi, Lime Pepsi etc etc.

Well I'm only ever in a town with a Burger King about 4 times a year so I can stretch to ?8.

Ah that's OK then. You are forgiven.

You jest, but I know people who actually think a Macdonalds is a good burger.

McDonalds burgers are normally a bit of a let down, but that new one, The Grand, is the first one in ages that touched the sides.
The McRib's return was awful. Bizarre, bitter barbecue sauce, tiny portion and unpleasant texture.

                            The Grand. I'm lovin' it.

I'm really tempted to go to Burgergeddon in April:
Buy tickets for UK BURGER BATTLE - BURGERGEDDON at Spotlight Birmingham. Tickets and information for UK BURGER BATTLE - BURGERGEDDON Sun, 26th Apr 2015 @ 16:00 - 0:00 in Birmingham.

It's a burger battle, where two teams cook their best burgers and everybody has to vote on their favourite. There's DJs and drinks and all that too!

Failing that, me and my chums are heading to the Digbeth Dining Club, for some tasty street food.

Went there last year and took down some udon from the Japanese stand, curried mutton in a dumpling from the Jamaican stall and topped it off with some waffles and ice cream. My friends tried the pizza and dirty burgers!

The 89p Hamburger is the best of McDonalds IMO.
