Pretty sure every time this is on it's in my irk thread entries.

Seems that they wanted to try and incite a small riot or beheading of a judge this year with the way it's structured. For crying out loud surely people can see past the crap that it is?

Other irk's. Being offered a new job at work, with loads of new responsibilities with a minuscule pay rise, and then to rub it in someone else telling me what they had been offered for the role under mine. Which would put them 7-8K a year better off than me.

    My crap internet connection.

NHS Speech therapists and physio's having work loads that are obviously too big, so they can't service my family.

    *grinding of teeth*

YOU DONT WANT CRISPS!! you dont want crisps??? i dont understand who doesn't want crisps?

Exactly, give them to a friend/work colleague if you don't want them. Crisps are the staple of life.

I've been on a couple of Sales Psychology courses this year and bundle selling as it's known is what McDonalds do so well, charge a quid for fries and a drink, yet those two added things cost them less than ten pence.

I don't like crisps :/ they're too salty and cut my mouth (Although Pringles are an exception but then I tend to open a tube and find I've eaten them all in one sitting which leaves me in a shame spiral feeling a little greasy)

I only buy those meal deals in Boots because they let you have any "snack" under ?1.35 so I can get Carrot Sticks and Humous or little cocktail sausages and ketchup or strawberries or a stonking great big bar of Dairy Milk. Boot's are also pretty good on drinks because you can get an innocent smoothie, Vitamin Water or large Red Bull (which on their own are round 66%+ of the deal price). The economics of it boggle the mind.

EDIT: And you get advantage card points, and they tend to have a "buy 6 get one 1 free" offer for cardholders or give you a "?1.50 off your next" voucher.

People always seem to take things at face value and never question anything.

This week, I've had to explain that a Belgian mayor didn't really write a letter to Muslims who were complaining about pork in school canteens, point out that the "Official Disney Land" Facebook page won't really give you a holiday because it is a data mining scam and not affiliated with Disneyland (one word) in any way, explain that Pugwash wasn't really innuendo-laden (the writer successfully sued two newspapers that reported it as fact) and clarify that The Great Wall of China can't be seen from space.

It takes seconds to check if these things are true or not!

I find it's not so much that people hold incorrect information (because a LOT of it is disseminated as you note), but when you point out to them that X, Y or Z is in fact wrong and correct them (the Pugwash character names is especially common), they nod and completely forget you've corrected them, and re-iterate the wrong story again at some point in the future! Arghhhh!
Lie with passion and be forever damned...

It's not the servers fault, they're told to do it and will probably be kicked in the wotsits if they're caught not trying to upsell.
Use a scan yourself checkout thingy, no need to interact with a human then

The urban myths thing is especially annoying in medicine, I work on a pediatric A&E ward and not too long ago I had a woman come in convinced that her three-year old's stomach ache was potassium poisoning from eating too many bananas that day and was adamant she needed admitting.

The "we only use 10% of our brains thing" is one I find especially annoying since it's so common and used as a sappy motivational thing.

Exactly. Same reason I don't get angry at cold callers, they're just going through a list of people and have already had enough of them cussing them up.

Save your irks for people acting of their own free will doing stupid stuff. I saw a pickup with trailer parked across 3 disabled spaces at the supermarket the other day. 3! It's a good thing I resist slashing people's tires...

Heres another thing that irks me
All the companies setup to bleed every last penny out of "gaming" with all kinds of gaudy bull**** accessories, specifically in this case gaming chairs. Yeah, lets blow ?300 on a racing seat chair, all that stuff.

**** you if you bought one of these chairs.

From memory it is more like 'we only understand 10% of how the brain functions'.
