Ha maybe with all the old farts on here we should start a support group
    or something

Crosswords are good just to keep the mind sharp and as a counterbalance I suggest alcohol which is a very useful tool to ease the worry of minor annoyances like stagnating at work, kids, bills, serious joint pain etc etc

Seriously though I like being 40.

It's a lot easier for me to remember when people ask me my age now, I'm really fast and just blurt out 40 where as 35-39 was crazy hard, it could of been the meth though I guess.

In the thread about things that make you smile everyone was chatting about the comet landing. Then I spotted this article, which is not a parody, but serious:

Goddamned feminists are now complaining about the shirt the guy behind it wore. FFS! I've had enough of this continuous, incessant whining from the politically correct crowd. Society has become grossly over-sensitive. At every opportunity its toys out of the pram time and screams for everyone to listen to their insipid bleats and for society to change just to suit them and their ****head points of view (not just feminists, I'm talking about every single wet blanket social justice warrior out there - all of the cretins). They all need to to STFU, and GTFO.

        This shirt is pure awesome:

Anyone who disagrees should put me on their forum ignore list.

I pretty much agree with Modnar. There's a time and a place...

Yep and being on telly representing science with the possibility to inspire boys and girls about science is not the time or place for the shirt. By all accounts the guy is awesome and he's clearly among the best in his field but I totally get why the shirt was a problem. There is a huge push to try to get girls into science and to convince people it isn't a boy's club and the guy just didn't think about the message he was sending with that.

I just don't think the whole team are that focused on fashion.

It's like every time Vince Cable is interviewed I always think "would it really have hurt to have run a comb through your hair and trim those wild eyebrows?!

On the other hand you could say he is a confident bloke with tattoos etc and not a typical science geek.

The shirt was made by a woman? She'll be burned at the stake as a witch then.

That shirt looks like fairground ride artwork

That article is a load of ****. It can't even begin to express the bile from most feminists. Until they can differentiate a man enjoying the physical form of a greased up women from actually respecting women hugely, nothing they say has any merit.

                          Comment

I don't quite understand your comment. Is it that the article has bile or that there isn't enough? Funny every time this topic comes up, the 'bile' or aggression of feminists is brought up in response to articles that don't demonstrate that and the responses usually involve bile or aggression, hence you getting hit with the swear filter.

Moving on from your comment though, I feel bad for the guy. He just picked a bad shirt for the event. Like the time I was going to speak to a class of 5 year olds and my wife rightly pointed out that my Day of the Dead t-shirt probably wasn't the best choice. The apology was rough and it's a shame that this was an issue at all. But it didn't overshadow the event, nor should it have.

The article is bile as are most feminist issues like this. I am all for respect and equal rights but not every single thing regard it a naked or sexualised image etc of a woman is bad.

Ah okay. From your second sentence, I wasn't sure if you were saying it was bile or not. Consider it clarified.
