10k for him is $20k for me, and that would be "only" and 50% pay raise! So if he's getting a 60% increase at his new job...WE'RE ALL GETTING PS4s! YAY!

A couple of friends of mine just got married. I don't usually get gooey over that sort of thing but they're really lovely people and they're just so happy in their wedding photos. Restores a little bit of my faith in the world.

(In related news, I'm apparently becoming my mother-in-law.)

Misses wants an action cam for the helicopter ride/snowboarding so I picked up the Sony AS200VR for her, and have been messing around with it for a little this afternoon. 1080/60fps is impressive I guess but at lower resolutions it does 120fps as well! The live remote is cool as poo as well, I feel like James Bond

Discussed my London trip plan with my manager yesterday. Four weeks Dec-Jan which will use 15 days holiday so I'll still have some left over for fun next year. Another Christmas where it matters

I most likely won't go for Christmas 2016 so I'll get to experience KFC again and finally a Japanese new year(still haven't done that yet).

Although I love all of you, I'm afraid no PS4's are being sent... I'll send GameCube's instead!

Believe me, I've been earning a very basic salary most of my life, as I was in games development and basic testing. I then jumped to software and although I got more money, it was still basic in the grand scheme of things. Now I'm making my first big leap in my career and the 10 years or so of just ambling along has finally been converted into something decent!

I never imagined I'll get an opportunity like this, so excited!

Oh damn good luck to you Wools, you're a smashing guy and deserve it.

That, along with the fact I'm doing the work that two people should have done last night just as highlights how badly I need to sort my career before too late.

This thread has been pretty wicked recently with all the job changes and new babies

                            Yeah, I love this thread!

As per his request, I sent Prinnysquad a Playstation 4 for his birthday...

Took my daughter to one of my old play areas yesterday. The woods behind where I used to live. She loved it. It's pretty large with tons of places to hide, trees to climb and wicked places to ride bikes.
I must admit I loved it too. Took me back 20 years and despite some changes, felt like I'd never left.

She thanked me for 'showing me your memories' when we left. I felt a sense of extreme happiness and a tinge of sadness after due to looking back on such a carefree time and it being long gone.

That's heart breaking and so sweet of your daughter to say that.
