I guess I always think that people quit smoking purely for health reasons. Which is the only reason that makes sense to me.

I have never smoked but sure they are around nine quid for a packet of twenty here in the uk now. That's a sixty quid a week habit if you're on say 20 a day. Three grand a year blah blah blah.

Mind you, when I was there packs of ten cost me around 4-6 quid if I remember.

Here in Japan I pay Y420 for a pack of 20 which lasts me about 2-3 weeks. That's just over 2 quid. And when I last went to duty-free I got a box of ten packs for Y2500(12 quid).

How anyone can smoke 20 a day is beyond me. I'm gonna have to break out the Jackie Chan pic again:

Baker totally ****ed up my son's first birthday cake. Have you seen the famous "monster Elsa" cake that's been going around? It's that kind of a difference between the promotional image and what I actually got. To say I am irked is an understatement. He only gets one first birthday. I would have made a cake myself (I literally could have made a better one myself, I've done it before for my wife), but no apartment comes with an oven in this backwards-ass non-country.

Got to admit, I was expecting worse but the turd-look around the outside isn't so pretty and, yeah, seems you got a dog.

I'm intrigued by these things. Do they look at the photo and say 'yep, we can do that for you'? Is it like a builder who thinks he can do your conservatory but... can't?

Looking at the photo, I'd first ascertain whether I could do those icing blobs. If I couldn't then I'd just say I can't do that.

Would it be rude to request a tiny test cake to see what their technique would be like?

I've never ordered a cake so I don't know but I'd expect a level of artistry beyond what they gave you.

I mean, those eyes are horrible. Where are you? Singapore or somewhere like that? Seriously, those eyes make no sense. And that mouth? Looking closely, it seems they did in fact do the icing blobs but whatever they used melted in the meantime.

I take back what I said. That's ridiculous and I'd be fuming, too.
