What are you reading now?

Well, the Dark Tower books might not have orcs, but it does have wizards, castles, legendary weapons, magical items, other types of monsters, and witches. The fantasy elements of The Dark Tower is very strong.

But it's gritty fantasy, not boring geeky nerdy fantasy is what i'm trying to say.

I'm nearing the end of American Psycho (damn nasty in places, brilliant mind) and am wondering where to go next. What I usually do is try and read something totally different by a seperate author after I finish one book.

These are the books I have at home, unread. What should I read next?

Complete George Orwell
A compilation which contains the complete novels of George Orwell - "Animal Farm", "Burmese Days", "A Clergyman's Daughter", "Coming up for Air", "Keep the Aspidistra Flying" and "Nineteen Eighty-Four".
I've already read (and thoroughly adored) 1984 and Animal Farm. If I choose this one, which story in particular?

Started reading Mario Puzo's The Godfather earlier today. I love the film and the book so far is great - I'm surprised by how faithful the film is to the book actually.

Porno! anyone read this? just finished it and i have to say its damn good. definetly a worthy follow up to trainspotting. any opinions on this book or irvine welsh in general? also what other stuff are you reading at the mo? i used to read all the time, but seeing as i have so much to read for uni i find i cant really be as arsed as i9 used to.

just finished reading micheal crichton's latest book state of fear
one of crichton's best- and controversial- books it tackles the modern day fear of global warming which throughout the book he basically picks apart using real eveidence from respected sources
just wondering if anyone else had a chance to read this and if they have an opinion

I'm currently reading Forgotten Victoy - The First World War: Myths and Realities by Gary Sheffield. Highly interesting stuff. Sheffield takes all the myths that the First World War was a pointless and futile waste of life, and tells it how it really was. Well, at least that's what he claims to do.

I just finished the Da Vinci code a while ago - I enjoyed it, sure it wasn't the best book ever written but kept me interested. Now I've started a real old school book - War of the Worlds. Havn't heard much about it but thought I'd give it a shot before the all-American version hits the screens. Anyone else read it?
