ts amazing how barefaced this what-if-ism is, Ive said it before and i will say it again the "I've got mine" attitude is whats keeping the Torys in power. The people at the bottom being sold a myth that every single one of them can also get theirs is what their trying to sell here.

Their not talking about raising the wage of non skilled labour so how dose say a supermarket worker get the guts to get his high wage, The only way to level up that job is into management or a supervisor role and you cant suddenly make every entry level person in the UK a supervisor as you will always need more people to stack shelves work warehouse and work checkouts than supervisors and managers its how that kind of business works.
That’s the American Dream (tm) repackaged for Northern England. I’ve seen less transparent windows.

      High wage, low tax economy...

Public sector is still on a pay freeze
New NI tax has been introduced

        Golden nugget moment:

Boris Johnson delivering a speech in Manchester justifying a scenario where the Government effectively surrenders responsibility for its decisions leading families to not be able to feed their children or pay to keep a roof over their heads by shifting the weight of responsibility to employers and the public to pursue imaginary high rate salary roles and to illustrate his point directly states that it's the right thing to do because it is true to the approach, decision making and ethos of Margaret Thatcher.

        Wow... just... Wow.

Nah, but I bet they're going to open a small business, slightly higher than the square footage necessary for some kind of threshold. Just in case we become a tax haven. Which I'm pretty sure we will.

Council tax set to rise. So that ticks the box of a low tax country.

Households in England could see bills jump within three years, says the Institute for Fiscal Studies.

A predicted 30% raise in energy prices for the uk consumer, a new a national insurance tax and a council tax Hike, the HGV shortage causing petrol and food shortages and pushing up the price of goods all on top of stagnant wages, the end of 2021 is looking pretty bleak.

If anything positive is gonna come out of this its that the UK public might finally wake up when the real hardship hits us square on the Jaw, its not just going to affect low paid workers but has the potential to cause middle earners to question why they have so much less money than they did 2 years ago as well, hopefully more people will start looking into why.

The BBC is expected to pull out of a major Stonewall programme as it repositions itself to drop a pro-LGBTQ stance and instead move to a supposed neutral stance on the subject

That’s like dropping a marketing company. It doesn’t mean you stop marketing. They might not like the way stonewall operates, or think it’s poor value for money. Of course the click bait headline wants to imply that bbc don’t care about LGBT matters.
