He probably has something in his contract where he can’t actually be fired on the spot for anything, he’s probably got a golden handshake as well for leaving and not suing the government the filthy pedo scum, he even looks like a creepy little pedo as well, probably old mates with Savil.

In reality he should of been dragged out his office and publicly flayed as a warning.

The fact that this isn't kicking up a stink says a lot. I wasn't joking when I said most of the government will be pedos.

The reason he didn't automatically get the boot is because it's decided on the sentencing and that hasn't happened yet. Below a certain threshold of criminal conviction he can continue in his job (as an independent, which he'd been for some time anyway - his Conservative membership was suspended) but if a certain number of voters sign a recall petition, there's a by-election. If it's above the threshold, automatic by-election. Technically he could have just stayed in the job until the sentencing, but I suspect his family pushed him to get it done.

Suprised to see the police taking this seriously.
Next year they'll put through a bill that prevents the police from investigating MPs.

I saw this yesterday when I stopped at Cobham for a break. People were getting really angry at the protestors.

Some people may have had to wait longer than they believed they would for a £150 energy bills rebate.

Rayner and Starmer in a grey area re having a beer together, still I'm sure in hindsight he'll think it probably wasn't the best thing to do.
Labour says no Covid rules were broken at the event, where Sir Keir Starmer was filmed drinking a beer.

The reason loads of people haven't got their energy payments yet is because the government dropped it on local councils with little notice and to be processed during the busiest time of the year, then insisted that it couldn't just be done by knocking it off the Council Tax bill. This means that millions of payments had to be raised to people who don't have bank details on file - either by raising cheques (expensive) or writing to every single person and asking them for bank details (also expensive, but full of potential fraud). Also loads of the councils don't even have cheque writing facilities any more as they were forced to end them in the name of cost savings and efficiency. And if they are lucky enough to still do cheques on the system, loads of people don't bother updating their name on the Council Tax so they end up writing cheques to people who've died 30 years ago but the partner was still paying it in their name. So then a load more cheques have to be cancelled and re-issued to somebody else, all at expense to the taxpayer.

Every single one of these schemes since the Covid grants started has been done in a cack-handed way where the government just want something done without speaking to anyone and asking how it might be done in a way that is quick, efficient and cost-effective first.

Realistically I expect them to either lose no more than 5 seats. Or actually make gains.

I find it frightening how much of a personality cult “Boris” has around him. I work with people who basically take it as you pissing on the Union Jack and wanting to burn the country to ashes if you even vaguely criticise the man (“he’s stopping World War III!”).

Neil Parish has told the BBC he is resigning as an MP after admitting he watched pornography twice in the House of Commons.
He said the first time was accidental after looking at tractors, but the second time was deliberate.

                            Is tractor porn a thing?

Neil Parish admits watching pornography in the House of Commons and tells the BBC he was stupid.
