Surely the story there is that the BBC removed the comment from the catchup version?

Like I'm not saying it's true, or even appopriate. I think Abbott should be really careful here; sexual assault allegations are something of a firebrand and you shouldn't chuck them around without reasonable proof or absolute personal confidence in their truth, even against your enemies. But she still said it and it seems weird to edit them out.

Labour just wants the northern racist vote, and don’t care about the economic and social harm of Brexit, then. Guess their paymasters being trade unions who were mostly pro-Brexit doesn’t help either.

I genuinely think now that the Tories will end up u-turning on Brexit, under a different leader, many years before Labour comes to its senses.

I feel like both the Tories and Labour are semi-paralysed over Brexit still and I suspect the majority of the public no longer really care about the subject. It's why the Tories need to stop obsessing about their large majority. It was a Get Brexit Done majority, not a Johnson majority so was always bound to vanish as quickly as it appeared.

I don't think either party will u-turn on Brexit for fear of restriking the match but a softening on position and allignment feels inevitable. Labour needs Brexit to not really be part of the discussion at the next General Election.
