"Thems the breaks"...?
No apology, just 6 minutes of waffle and that tripe to round it off. At least you could hear the booing and Benny Hill music in the background in his speech and other interviews.
So now we're in limbo for a while, but honestly it wasn't going to happen any other way...

looking at the front pages of the tabloids today is bizarre, The Mail in particular with the headline "What the hell have they done" seems to be completely oblivious that they where sticking the boot in a few days ago.
The prime minister is variously thanked for this time in office and urged to be gone as soon as possible in today’s front pages
I doubt anyone in Russia or The Eu will care about which bumbling idiot is in charge of our failing country, its like the country has been paralised with all eyes on Johnson limping from scandal to scandal for the majority of this year. We need someone boring so that they can concentrate on the day to day and not what latest idiotic thing they have done.
Also trying to portray Jhonson as a family man is the funniest thing Ive read in a while for one he doesn't know half his kids and is lucky to not be having to sign on as a sex offender if the rumors about him groping journalists are to be believed, no doubt Carrie will be leaving him pretty sharpish now hes on his way down.Last edited by Lebowski; 08-07-2022, 10:05.

The fact that there's so much media focus on the entertainment level of the next choice shows how Trumpian our politics has become and plays into how Johnson believes he has the mandate rather than the party. We need far less emphasis on the PM and more on the cabinet as a whole. Starmer looks like a charmer when the voter is reminded their voting for the likes of Mogg, Dorries and Patel
