I get her point, that Kwarteng is more sympathetic to the Eton and financial elite than to the Black British community, but her wording was fumbled and horribly off. A true wordsmith like Benjamin Zephaniah could pull it off with: "the strangest animal I've ever seen is the Black Tory."

At this stage, all labour need to do is not be the Tories. I just hope the tories get so hammered they don't even get to be opposition.

Yep, easy Labour vote here because in my town any non-Labour vote works out as a +Tory vote so its counter productive to go for any option that in practice lets them back in office here.

Ultra-safe Tory seat where LibDems are (distant) second here. Always voted Labour before Brexit was a thing; ironically my vote for them only ever counted in European elections, due to PR.
