Seems odd they lowered it so much, wonder what excuse they'll have to jack it up.

Wish Diesel would come down... I'm still paying around £1.72 per litre freaking joke

Fuel duty is going up in April IIRC. It was set to be 23%.
My folks were up from Wales last week and they paid about 20p per litre less for their diesel at home than up here. And the stuff is made a ten minute drive from where I live!

They might stop going up for a year or so.

First notable change since Bulb was taken over by Octopus arrived today. They want to reduce our monthly payment from this month to £130 below our monthly usage. The theory from their calculation is that our use will drop with the worst winter months over, that there's the monthly Government money making up some of the difference and that we can credit built up.

This is where I imagine a lot of people are going to get royally screwed next Winter. Our bills will drop as we stop needing to use gas over the summer, but next month the Government money stops also. The month after the Government is allowing a 20% increase in bills as well. From my math, if we stuck with what they suggested we would be paying around £80 less per month than we're using. Basically, they want us to use up our built up credit over the summer so that come winter we're entirely at the mercy of the pricing, lack of government support and lack of energy cap in place then. I've already restored the monthly payment to what it was and I'll give it till April to see how the bill totals come in and dial up as necessary. Not a chance in hell or high heaven I'm gambling on the Tories doing jack to sort out energy costs or provide any support for next winter.

Market price of oil/gas has dropped 70% so in theory, in 6 months our costs should drop 70%. At most it'll drop 35p and the Government will be wanking in parliament about how they fixed the world.

My bet is the end price continues to rise.

They won't drop 70%, in-between staff will have had a much deserved pay rise and other business costs will have risen.
