There’s been a lot of stories about cancer cures and vaccines for years. Maybe for once it’ll be true.

Honestly, they need to just be more mindful in future but also move on from this nothing burger story. I'll care more when the media is equally keen to hand wring over the actions of the Tories who's PR moves include setting up a website to perpetuate campaign lies etc.

Thing is, the BBC have been very good at disseminating an image to those outside the UK that they are a fair and honest media outlet. To the US or others it probably looks like a great service. To those living with it day in day out its very noticeable that it's state media. It has not only direct ties to parliamentary laws, but it now has people sitting in chairs that are tied to the Government. The US won't obviously see that straight away.

I think it's also worth saying that impartiality is a scale. The BBC claiming to be truly impartial is a bit of a joke these days, but if you compare them to the Daily Mail's and Fox News's of this world, the BBC is very much dry and impartial. If that's what you're used to, it must look very reliable from the outside.

This should have been a non-event but became a Paxman-Howard situation because Powell wouldn't give an answer, Lady Thornbury wouldn't either so it came down to Starmer to wade in with a catch-all comment to end it.

                        Labour double downs on Sunak

You could say not playing the Tory's at their own game would be far worse for Starmer. People saw Corbyn as soft and not having the teeth for goverment. Sticking the boot in about who Sunak is really looking out for is what a lot of people need to see.

I think they should follow up with an Ad about him boasting about taking council funding from poorer areas to give to richer areas (this was in his failed leadership bid against Liz Truss). while their at it they could also do an Ad about how he lost to her and she couldn't even outlast a lettuce.

It’s not great, but it’s something at least. I think it should be more emotional and aggressive, something like showing the public swimming in a load of sewage whilst he swims around in a pool full of money like Scrooge McDuck.

That footage should be used straight up as an attack ad on TV and online.

I don't know how anyone can watch that and think, yeah, that's who I want in power (actually I do, most of the country since they're all apparently temporarily embarrassed millionaires, but, ya know).

That is better, Labour should I believe stay away from the race to the bottom on crime, from what I hear the Conservatives are going through Starmer's past and if Labour aren't careful depending on what turns up they could be in for a nasty ride come the election.

I still think Labour will win but it could be with a tiny majority compared to a landslide.
