The speed at which he is dismantling the country is staggering. Kind of shows how fragile the system was too, because it shouldn’t be that easy to unravel a country no matter who gets into power. The tariffs thing could really escalate quickly. He has to have seen Canada’s response coming and it’s no good for either country but I feel it’s going to be very difficult for Trump to back away from them now.

Trudeau decided to go ahead with retaliatory tariffs even though Trump’s order includes a mechanism to escalate the rates if Canada retaliates against the U.S.
This is also where the next four years will see the Republicans face the truth that was staring them in the face blindlingly since 2016 - Trump is not a Republican. He doesn't give a rats ass about anything they care about and the facade no longer needs to continue, it's solely about himself and from 2024 childish revenge on a system that defied him in 2020.

If you mean the Republican voters, they will never understand. Any fault in their policy is someone else's, not theirs.

Prime minister says both US and Europe are important to UK as he holds press conference with Nato secretary general Mark Rutte
Trump says the UK can avoid his Tariffs shenanigans but the EU won't.
He'll just end up trying to threaten the UK against stronger EU trade relations, forcing us to choose. We get screwed regardless because we've isolated ourselves in a position of weakness.
Markets recover some losses after Trump agreed to delay new duties on Mexico goods, sparking hopes of a reprieve
After standoff, Doge members gained control over access system, letting them lock out workers and read emails
