It took a hot minute for politicians to stand proudly over the mounting pile of victims to try and grandstand for their re-election ambitions. Biden will maintain his stance because it works well for him with the electorate, Sunak will be under the grossly incorrect assumption that he can pull off the same trick with the British public. I'm expecting, before too long, that we'll see more and more Israel support drift away and a 'leave them to it' attitude emerge.

On a much lighter note, Twitter have started to test the "not a bot" campaign in New Zealand and the Philippines: if you want to post or interact with other Tweets, it's $1 per year.

It's not so much about the 1$; it's that you have to pay digitally, which means it'll be by traceable means.

So if you're a bot-farm, in theory, Twitter will know if you've registered 500 accounts to 1 credit card or 1 paypal account.

The problem Elon hasn't considered, in his apparently galaxy-brain, is he's creating a system where running well earns him less money. When he finds some farms genuinely will pay $20,000 for 20,000 bot accounts, is he seriously going to ban them if they outnumber legit paying users?

You can set up temporary credit card numbers, not sure that'll be an effective way for Twitter to trace multiple accounts.
