After a battering in the European elections, Macron has called a snap-election in France with the country looking likely to fall to the Far Right parties.

Remember, elections to France’s National Assembly are two-round. It’s very possible that – if the mainstream non-NR parties form effective pacts and alliances – that Le Pen’s lot won’t come anywhere near a majority.
