Biden should as an official presidential act remove the justices, who at this point are just making up their own rules.

Following the whole Biden thing, Allan Lichtman (I think the name is right) was on LBC talking about the extreme dangers of the Supreme Courts immunity ruling and how heavily it sets up a dictatorship style scenario down the line. But, reassuringly he has correctly predicted as a Political Historian the last 10 election results months early. He says he will make his call in August but uses 13 criteria to make the call and if the Democrats keep Biden he says they are currently only 2 criteria down so on course to beat Trump, they will lose if they ditch him.

It’s not actually clear he is senile. Guardian are reporting his physician has spoken to a Parkinson’s expert.
Assuming there is anything wrong with his mental faculties and he is not merely tired and / or dealing with the early stages of disability (which does not make him unfit), I would take senile over a crazy fascist every day of the week. Biden has a pretty good record which is little appreciated outside of the US where more attention is paid to foreign policy.
If Biden withdraws that could make the election unwinnable for the Democrats. It may already be too late to switch, but if it goes any longer than this it certainly will be. The Democrats need to come together and fast: with or without Biden.Comment

No, the VP would take over in that scenario. There is precedent, like when JFK was shot and Lyndon B Johnson was immediately sworn in as president.
This election for America is pretty much referendum on democracy and whether the US becomes a Christian caliphate. The Dems could have nominated a bunch of mice in a trenchcoat and I'd take them every day of the week and twice on Sunday over Project 2025.Comment

Every single election from now on will be that. It's Project 2025, and if it doesn't succeed it'll become Project 2029 with even more stuff attached to it. If the Dems can win this, they should be pushing a reform of election laws (and maybe also the Supreme Court) as a primary objective.Comment
