I can only assume that the original attack was a little akin to 9/11. There's intent but then there's an element of what you reasonably expect to happen on the day and what the response will be. But then the plan goes ahead and is massively more effective than you'd expected and suddenly you find yourself with response that is so far beyond what you'd anticipated. It's hard to imagine that Hamas went into the attack thinking that it was a good idea if they thought what is happening now would be the response, in the same way that I feel Bin Laden probably expected that not every plane would make it to their target, or that it would bring down both towers.
So now they face being wiped out.

Wipeing out Gaza seems to be Israels end game they are trying to level the place now, and remove as much of the population as possible. Hamas have helped them do that by hiding among the populous and putting weapons on top of schools and hospitals and in residential areas. This has spectacularly backfired as Israel has no issues with bombing civilian areas to take out Hamas fighters hiding among them. They even fired missiles at people fleeing the conflict, they gave civilians 24 hours to evacuate but then fired missiles at the fleeing convoys the footage of this showed up on reddit over the weekend and its horrific.Comment

At least 500 people have been killed in a missile strike that demolished a hospital in Gaza. Hamas have blamed Israel for targeting the civilian site however Israel have responded denying responsibility, saying they have evidence that the strike came from a misfiring missile within Gaza fired by a Jihad group.
The IDF says the media has been spreading Hamas lies about the strike though some of the journalists have said that the IDF have a weak history on credibly telling the truth on such matters. As both sides accuse each other, riots have broken out across the Middle East in objection to the hospital deaths.Comment

Alec Baldwin is to be recharged for the shooting on the set of Rust after the investigation concluded the trigger of the gun was pulled.
This recharging won't last two minutes. The conclusion it's based on was done so after the gun was found to be faulty, then was broken by the FBI during their exam of it, then it was rebuilt and put through testing again meaning that there was a lot of arguable tampering with the weapon. I just watched a YouTube video (linked star citizen video from Marty) and the ad at the beginning began with HAMAS=ISIS, followed by a video saying how terrible Hamas were and showing the poor citizens of Israel. Is this sort of thing normal on YouTube? I've never seen a propaganda piece liked this on YouTube before.Comment

Can't say I have, but then I've had YouTube Premium for a while so don't see them anymore. This whole thing is a mess and neither side is going to win any peace via bombing each other. You need to make Hamas look like the devil incarnate though if you're going to send in hundreds of thousands of troops to occupy the Gaza Strip (which I can only see as a recruitment drive for Hamas).
There aren't going to be any winners from any of this, that's for sure.Comment
