Yeah, I'm inclined to agree. You're obviously not going to win an election by saying "Vote for us to get rid of the NHS", but you might campaign on reducing bureaucracy in the health system, reducing wait times, etc etc. The actual reality of what that will mean in practise - dismantling the NHS piecemeal to satisfy high concept far right ideology and more quotidian personal financial greed - will be direly warned against in a million Guardian op-eds, approximately zero of which will be read by all the people voting for the right wing, who will blithely **** up our country just as they did in the 2016 referendum.

Not saying this will happen. But it's definitely not impossible.

This same scare story has been doing the rounds for decades and it hasn't happened, because the public won't accept it, even on the sleight of hand.

Whether this is the result of tariffs or an attempt fully privatise/completely replace the service is a good guess.
That's a big move. Just think of all the crap people order FROM temu and the likes. Not to mention how many legit stuff is also shipped from those regions.

Isn’t TEMU actually in nearer locations, unlike Ali? That was my understanding, hence how their delivery times are quicker (and range more ltd). I think it has a European warehouse at lesst.
