I never watch the guy as I think he’s a complete pox on the Internet, but I heard that on Mr Beast videos they have an ad progress bar that starts off fast (so you don’t think it’s worth skipping) and then gradually slows down as it goes on. Clever, but true supervillain behaviour.

That said, anyone who watches the videos deserve to have their time wasted I suppose.

      1. In the Blofeld's Global menu, make sure "Ctrl Receive" is set to "on". This will allow the Blofeld to receive change messages from Patch Base.

Asking it a second time (same prompt)

Neither of these are remotely correct. I can;t get it to spit out what it did originally yesterday but it was something like:

"Turn the volume back and forth rapidly whilst powering the device on"

      Absolute nonsense
Try the solution I wrote about earlier, see if that works.

The problem is some of the stuff being advertised it sounds so forced and heavily scripted and i really doubt they have looked to much into the sponsors, of course there are some sponsors that when people advertise they take a drastic hit to credibility, like with Raid shadow legends....as its really not a good game at all.
I use Ghostery on the PC for blocking the advertisements.

Speaking of ads, I recently started reading Lifehacker again. But I think I’m giving up for good now because it’s wall to wall affiliate links. Although they’re all green if you’re not paying enough attention you find yourself drawn in… and the links are all American anyway!

The BBC have stepped up their game. Because I now refuse to bi-yearly notify them that I don't need a TV license I just received an email stating that their records show that I have been using iPlayer and need to buy a TV license (I haven't). I've issued a Request for data asking for a copy of these records and where and how they obtained them. We'll see what happens. I'm at the point of considering prosecuting them for harassment.

All the old Gawker sites like Lifehacker got sold off years ago to people who just stuff with ads, affiliate links, SEO links and other junk unfortunately.

Nowadays I find that the stuff blogs used to be good for in the 2010s is found mostly in newsletters.

Shady that. We like our live sport so are stuck with their protection racket even though none of it is on the Beeb.
If you do watch anything on iplayer you normally start with an advert for a programme you have no interest whatsoever so it's becoming like YouTube that you pay for but still see the adverts.

And this is why their talking about making it a tax you have no choice in paying for, as so many people are now opting out and dumping the BBC.

To be fair, the BBC do make some good programs and have a good world news service.
Here in Japan we need to pay for NHK which are total ****e! In the 27 years I've lived here I've never ever watched anything on NHK. They do have premium cable and satellite channels but you need to pay extra for those. The BBC offers quite a lot for the cost.

As in, lately - and it's also largely in part to how many taxi drivers are behind the wheels of these cars - it's become the No.1 for near accidents and bad driving. I've become hyper aware to the brand at this point and can't recall the last time I saw one driving well.

I disagree re: BBC news; Laura Kuenssberg is a major reason I won't pay for a TV license.

I don't know who that is. I only watch BBC World News over here which has different presenters.
I just had to Google her. Looks like a hard bitch type of woman. I'm guessing her lucks match her character?

No, it's more that she's supposed to be an impartial journalist, but seems very pro-Conservative, going easy on them on her Sunday politics show, but giving Labour MPs a thorough grilling.

I like the BBC. The iPlayer is packed with great stuff, but I agree that it's not for everyone and it should be easier to opt out.

I think Laura K is not a B (why are women always targeted more than men?)

Having said that I think there is some bias or imbalance on BBC but it’s certainly not just Laura. Stephen Nolan, Americast, Newscast, it’s pretty widespread. It errs towards the sensationalist angle and continually invites the residents of Tufton
Street (e.g. Institute for Economic Affairs) to do things like debate with Childcare providers why it shouldn’t be state funded. They have literally no expertise and mostly employ 11 year olds hoping to one day be Tory MPs.

This is why I’ve started listening to the News Agents on LBC (former BBC staff). It’s a breath of fresh air (if that’s possible with Trump coming in).
