Yeah that's what I have decided. Seeing her separately is a challenge but I'm gonna make the effort this year once I've got my new car.
The reason I cut off Toxic in the first place was not to have to put up with this BS anymore. I cannot express in words how much relief I felt when I finally cut ties with her and just chose never to respond to her calls and messages again, I lived far away from her at the time she wouldn't be knocking on my door so I was only at risk of seeing her in town which I moved out of a year later.
Only had once incident about a month after my decision where she screamed blue bloody murder at me across a shopping centre because I blanked her and security had to get involved cause she was acting like a crazy person. After a long winded text of bile that followed that evening, I just messaged back not to ever contact me again and I was blocking her cause I was just done. Only ever seen her once since when bumping into her (and who looked like some addict mates with some kids including at least one of hers) in a park with my mum.
Caused a massive argument with my mother at the time after her opinion of Toxic was more positive and protective because she had 2 kids "oh why didn't you stay in touch? She was so lovely, you were a bit harsh cutting her off, she really liked you". Apparently being able to reproduce makes you a better person, who knew? It was my mother who warned me to be more distant from her years before things got worse with toxic. Didn't tell her the guy she was with died of a drugs overdose months later not long after putting another baby in her.

Not really an irk, but more an observation and change in purchasing behaviour. Seeing the prices of the more 'luxury' food items shoot up 10-30% here has me outright boycotting things I used to enjoy a great deal. I don't seem to be the only one either as the shelves are permanently fully stocked, and the shops are not even half as busy as what they used to be. €9.50 for a tub of Ben & Jerry's, as an example. €5+ for my Starbucks' Nespresso capsules. They can **** right off with those prices - I'd rather do without ice cream and coffee entirely seeing as the house brands all suck white arse, and have also aggressively gone up in price.
All of these brands must surely be feeling the hit about now.
Luckily weed prices haven't budged at all.

I'd be lying if i wasn't a bit miffed that the Hogwarts thread got its discussion nixed for being off-topic, despite the news sites swirling around this game like vultures, and the bully squad trying to get anyone streaming it on twitch canceled and kicked off the platform.
hoping that Asura lives up to his threat and continues the discussion here

I wrote a really long post but ended up wiping it, because it was too much of a whinge. But it wasn't really about that game, it was actually more about how I was disappointed that everyone apparently hated Riot Games, but forgot about that when ARCANE was good - and so many people were pissed off at CDPR, but then forgot then Edgerunners was good. The point is how changeable people are when it comes to media, which unlike most things is largely voluntary (you can talk about Nestle and Lever Brothers all day but media is something you choose; people tend to need clothing detergent and can't always choose to pick an ethical brand).

Fancy watching the classic Mulan re-imagined in live action then i hope your ok with chinese re-education camps as it supports and thanks the goverment of that region that runs these camps for helping with production.
How about a nice flick about the life and times of Freddie Mercury championing his lifestyle and how he was a massive gay icon, nope you cant watch that film Fox who are now Disney cut all the gay stuff out and made it a confusing mess so it could be shown in less tolerant places around the world.Last edited by Lebowski; 09-02-2023, 16:26.
