That's a real ****ter, very sorry to hear it. I know cats are generally held in a different vein to dogs but for those with cats like us they are still a member of the family.
          A real shame.

One of our neighbors was walking past when the car hit him and picked him up and ran round to the vets with him which is just round the corner but he died on the way. She said the car that hit him didn't stop which is really crappy.

It turned out he was quite the character in the neighborhood and lots of people knew him. One of the teachers from the school up the road said he was always visiting them and the kids in the nursery playground loved him as he would always go and get lots of attention off the kids. My Niece is in Nursery and she told us a few times that Ozzy visited her but we thought she was making it up. He also used to visit some of the old residents on our road apparently and was well known with quite a few of them. Its a real shame hes gone as he had all these different friends around the neighborhood who are gonna miss him. Its the first cat we've lost in this way too we have lived in the area 20 years and never had this happen before

Exactly the same thing happened to my next doors cat, the cat had been going out for over 6 months, then suddenly decided to run in front of a car for no reason one day. The couple that hit her actually stopped, bundled her up and waited for next door to come home as they weren't from the area and didn't know where the vet was, plus both their phones had died, the woman was crying when i walked over and the guy was really upset at hitting it, they did the decent thing and all they could for the poor creature but it didn't survive unfortunately.

My Beagle on the other hand will not miss the annoying little sod whatsoever.

                Sorry to hear that, Lebowski.

A pet really does become part of the family.

I bet your beagle is a yappy little sod that your neighbors hate too, I certainly wouldn't post about dogs being annoying if you'd just lost him though so yeah some sensitivity would be nice.

The car was speeding, the road he was hit on wasn't a main road but a side street, we were told he was trying to get out of the way and would have done if he had had a few seconds more. There is a primary school at one end, with speed restrictions in place all up the road, and their are always kids playing out or on bikes riding about, so you really have to be carefull, like i said I've lived here for 20 years and our two previous cats where fine that entire time.

The main road that turns into our street has a secondary school at the end and is a 20 in school times and a 30 at all others. They are having to put traffic calming measures everywhere to slow cars down, (Traffic Islands and a divided off cycle lane, on the main road are in the process of being put in.

Loads of people are on the local Facebook group complaining that its a waste of money and will cause traffic chaos, but in the last 4 years 1 pupil has been killed and three others have been put in hospital from traffic collisions. We also had a late night boy racer hit a tree at speed and kill himself and all his passengers last year. The amount of times i see some tool tearing down the road only for you to end up right behind them at the next traffic lights is to dam high. I'd ask myself is saving a minute or two on your journey really worth killing or injuring someone or their beloved pets.

Sold a Pioneer Kuro PDP-LX5090 to a couple of students, I was trying to explain to them what they were getting but really didn't give a monkeys, was just a 50" TV to them. I guess to most people electronics are just things that perform tasks, maybe I shouldn't bestow a soul on them .

Ah I know what you mean. I gave my old Panasonic plasma to an old lady two doors down. Didn’t bother to explain the remarkable black levels it was able to achieve in a pre-OLED era or insist she turn all the lights out and enable True Cinema mode when using it.

”…and the thing about the motion, even the latest OLEDs won’t give you this type of motion…”

Paha yes I mentioned all the classics "unrivalled black levels" ..."best in class motion".."better than most 4K tv's" etc....deaf ears.

Somehow reminds me of when I used to try selling RGB cables (for £5) to random Burnley scrotes that time I was a Christmas temp at GameStation.

You should try the audiophiles crowd, they'd buy anything.

I'm in to my audio and do love good sound but even I find Audiophiles too much at times.
I mean, I've been blasted for using equalisation. To me it gives a fuller sound that I'm looking for but to those audiophile guys, I'm ruining everything. Bollocks. If it sounds better to me then that's all that matters. Right? Er.....
