With Jackson, it's unhelpful that it's become a taboo to question the accusers and yet the slightest bit of cursory research exposes them as liars. There's no way of discounting the possibility of him having done wrong when it comes to claims of his interactions with children but certainly, the known ones have very clear ill intent and are very easily exposed as having swathes of lies and falsehoods in their stories which is why two of them were even barred from further pursuing claims against Jackson as the Judge saw exactly what they were up to. The smoke blows in both directions but with MJ the levels of public exposure was something else and it's an incredibly long road to go down to comb through all the clear issues he had even without the claims against him.

Majors is a good comparison for Spacey as it's taken one instance for eveything to borderline close in on him. Whereas there are some who drift back with relative ease and others like Trump who even benefit from the claims, even as they admit to it in effect. There's no real consistency in how things are received once out there.

Again though, there is more to it with Jackson than guilt or innocence. Even if you are pretty damn sure he was innocent of what he was accused of, would you leave your kid with him alone for a weekend? Would you be fine with them sleeping in the same bed? I wouldn’t.

Because he’s dead and that would be weird and gross.

But even when he was alive, I wouldn’t.

Point is, some people are just kind a bit over the edge of what might be considered okay even if not actually guilty of any crimes. Doesn’t make them awful or dangerous but maybe still unsettling.

I wouldn't let my kid share a bed with anyone.
He let kids sleep in his room/bed when he wasn't there. And remember, he had various skin conditions, and would lock himself away to apply makeup so he wasn't seen.
He's unlikely to let himself wake up with random kids for them to see him without any makeup. Plus, his bedroom was the size of a duplex. It was two stories and bigger than most houses.

He said himself he shared his bed with kids. I guess the question is then - would you let your kid stay with him unattended for a weekend? You don’t get to control what happens. It’s on trust, just like if your kid stays anywhere else without you.

I doubt MJ himself was chaperoning kids around neverland. It'd be more like a school trip, in which case I wouldn't mind.
If it was like, 'Yo, MJ want to personally take your kid, alone, round neverland.' then I'd say hell no. Just like I would to any weird request like that.
He did some ****ing stupid ****. And he needed help and guidance. And I don't think his looks helped. If he looked like he did in the Off The Wall days, I don't think he'd have had the attention he did. But he looked wierd and acted weird.

Same. But unless there has been new information over the last while (very possible - I haven’t been keeping up), that he spent time there alone with kids was never in question.

I don't know. But again, if he did, why aren't they coming forward now he's dead? Like if bus loads of kids with teachers and adults were turning up, surely one of the grown ups would be talking about him running off with children under each arm by now. I don't think it was kids everywhere and just him; like he's at a pick n mix. He had staff, people would have seen or known something.

I think you may have missed my point. I’m not saying he was a kiddy fiddler. This is the thing - he can still be innocent of things he was accused of. But I do think it’s taken as fact that he spent time alone with kids in Neverland (someone correct me if I’m wrong here) and he said himself he shared his bed with kids. Doesn’t mean it was in a sexual way, doesn’t mean he was guilty of anything, certainly isn’t a crime. But still not something I’d be comfortable with.

Pretty sure it’s a given that his relationship with kids wasn’t exactly normal for a grown man. That can still be innocent.

Oh yeah, I know what you mean.
At the end of the day, after 1993 someone should have made sure he just stayed the **** away from children.

Yep, the second he said that sentence he basically opened the floodgates. I wouldn't let my kids stay with him for the weekend but I wouldn't let them stay with anyone for the weekend, they don't even stay with family. It was a monumentally stupid thing for him to do but I imagine it was easy to happen because he wouldn't have been surrounded by people who would tell him no to things. I think as well that there was the immediate thought that he would be in bed, close with another child alone when from what I can gather there would often be numerous children in the room as well as staff coming and going, as well as family members in neighbouring rooms because Jackson had developed a paranoia since his home and bedroom where broken into previously by an intruder which is one of the ways in which the FBI were able to fairly easily account for things and clear him

I feel sorry for the non dodgy guys from lostprophets Watkins actions has completed destroyed their musical legacy not to mention income. Their later band No Devotion just never hit the same heights as their earlier work despite being really good.

I was never a fan anyway, but as you say it’s a real shame his actions directly corrupted so many lives.

                            It’s a miracle he’s still breathing air.
