Former PM criticises ministers for ‘moral outrage’ of ‘systematically shredding’ social security system
Imagine a current-day senior politician saying “poverty is out of control, sort of out”. Wouldn’t happen. I miss Brown, he was a billion times more benign as PM than any of the swivel-eyed sociopaths that have followed him in the role.

Penguin Prediction Time: I had assumed that the Tories would try to stay in office as long as possible, and postpone the election to December (or January next year), but I now predict that the party will quickly replace Sunak after more public gaffes and general incompetence, and immediately call a (slightly) earlier GE.

The Liberal Democrats have put forward a policy idea to fine people £1,000 for playing music out loud on public transport. The government suggests it's open to the idea - and we asked for your thoughts.
Labour’s Rochdale by-election candidate who indulged in antisemitic conspiracy theories has been dumped by the party (correct decision really).
