TBH, American libertarians are a far bigger dirty influence and threat to our democracy and way of life than the Russian government is. Although obviously the interests of both often overlap at points (eg Brexit, as it allows the welfare state to be eliminated, and isolates us from European allies).Last edited by Protocol Penguin; 25-02-2024, 12:16.

Sir Lindsay Hoyle says he will not allow further emergency debate, saying that MPs came to a resolution on Gaza only last week
Sunk continues to deal with the Lee Anderson fallout, Anderson being a useful non-story given he'd be out of his seat later in the year regardless but all the fuss over the weekend has conveniently stopped people from talking about his bat**** nutter compadre Liz Truss

This is the kind of thing I'm on about:
The shocking moment a violent brawl erupted outside a Bradford kebab shop has been caught on camera, after Pro-Palestine protestors demanded the owner boycott Coca-Cola.
Supposedly a kebab shop was attacked by some demonstrators because the owner stocked Coca-Cola, which is somehow attached to the ongoing conflict in the middle-east.
You want to oppose Coca-Cola? That's totally fine. They're a legit corporate entity, and if you feel they're war profiteering or something, then you should make your voice heard. But what does attacking some random business in Bradford have to do with that?!
Point here is I'm not even convinced this was for the reasons stated. I half-expect those "protestors" to be a bunch of people paid by a rival takeaway shop to smash up their opposition.
But if it was for those reasons stated... I dunno. Can you imagine a mob attacking a chicken stand in Brazil over something to do with some injustice in Cambodia?

I don't know a shop in Bradford that doesn't stock Coca-Cola, why not go after the supermarkets if they wanted to make a point attacking some small local business just makes them look like they're targeting someone.
Pro Palestine protesters have been going after Mc'donalds and Starbucks on quite a small scale, The keighley store has had its windows smashed and a stunt involving letting loads of insects loose in the kitchens.
A MAN has been arrested following incidents of criminal damage at McDonald's and Starbucks in Keighley.

Dividends!!! F****** dividends for these cretins as well!!!
Kneecap everyone involved and be done with it, repossess everything they have purchased with their stolen money, because that’s what it is, and put them on the streets.

Just had my own water bill increase notification. From April 2024 it will go up by just over 16% from what I was paying last year.
That's over 6% more than the average inflation rate for 2023 which this year is now in single figures. This is grotesque profit making from the companies that have been neglecting the UK water infrastructure, storage capacity and sewage treatment capabilities for 35 years.
Don't get me onto those companies that have been flushing raw sewage into our rivers and seas because of this neglect and are now trying to make the customers pay for all of this to put it right.
WE'VE ALREADY BLOODY WELL PAID FOR IT but they have preferred to fritter away their income on other things like giving some executives six figure salaries and rewarding their shareholders rather than investing their profits in the way they should have been doing.
What OfWat, the toothless water consumer guard dog, has been doing over the last 35 years to allow this to happen who knows?

Late stage capitalism, cut the service to the bone, provide as little as you can for the maximum amount of money you can charge.Thames water is pretty much bankrupt, its plans to stop being put into administration is charge its customers more, dump more **** in the rivers (and not get finned for it) while still passing profits to its investors.
Infrastructure in the uk is ****ed rail, power, water and telecommunications, asset stripped privatised and massively overpriced and underdeveloped.
