I've been convinced several times over the years that William Daniels was gone, but KITT himself is still going at 96

I just realised that Super Gran was only 51 at the time of filming. Bloody hell, she looked so old for 51.
Its so true that these days people do look younger.

To be fair, she was probably made up to look older for the part. The oldest of the four Golden Girls was the youngest in real life.

It's really true. If I ever feel worried about plucking out the odd grey hair or seeing lines and creases that I'm certain weren't always there, I just watch John Thaw in "Regan", the 1974 predecessor to The Sweeney.



At point of release, he was 32. It was probably filmed when he was 31. I've known people go off on early retirement who look younger!

Then again, he was smoking 60 a day since he was a kid and I don't doubt he liked a drink.
