Game Focus shut down quite some time ago. Probably at least a year.

That said, it's a new store rather than an old one so it hasn't really "survived". Haven't been there myself yet either.

Yeah I've still not been down there. According to their Twitter they are planning to open a barcade in Peckham....! That would prob be walking distance from me, so really hoping that happens.

Still, there are a couple of places so if you are heading to Tokyo check out my guide on DCgaga.com.

Great guide, I was browsing it on my phone.

Even still, a good guide can't make up for a declining area.

My last free day is on the 15th. I'm going to Akiba. Can anyone recommend a place to find the remaining the PS2 games I was looking for? Ebay has dozens of copies of Psychic Force Complete, but I have yet to find an actual copy in Japan. This is complete lunacy. It wasn't like this a decade ago. You'd find stuff on shelves which eBay sellers didn't even know existed.

Your best option are used games shops, but not the likes of SuperPotato, the ones on the main road with just one or two floors, they tend to stock more PS2 games than others. Also shops that sell used items like CDs or DVDs will probably like have more PS2 stuff (or maybe it has already been swalloed up by the DS).
Anywya, how's the weather right now? Planning for vacations next year :P

Cold. Bloody cold. And Japanese apartments don't have central heating. I've got my gas stove cooking nothing, hoping it circulates hot air.

                Brrr... >_<

Quick question for the connoisseurs: between Nagoya and Kobe, which will you suggest to visit?

                  Comment

I personally prefer Kobe. There's not really that much to see in Nagoya, even people from Nagoya will say that. Kobe has some nice retro game stores too. It also has Chinatown. Kobe is generally just a nice little city, with none of the stress of Osaka.

Mhm, OK. An other question: anyone knows good Onsen in the area between Kobe-Kyoto-Tokyo. I've always wanted to visit one and I still want to if not too expensive (I know it's gonna be, but it's OK if not extremely expensive).

If you can travel a little out of Tokyo, Hakone is supposedly good. I was hoping to go but tattoos

A list of hot spring baths (onsen) in the Hakone area.
