if you're a student try STA travel Japan. Super helpful in the past.

actually - STA will deal with non-students too and their rates tend to be pretty good.

Stroppa, I had a few links but the best thing to do is get "metropolis" or another free foreign thing as they have many agents.
I have used No1 Travel and Across in the past.

Had a look at STA, they only seem to deal in return tickets, I just want a single ticket back to the UK.

I think Akihabara sort of pre-empted my question with an answer in another thread but here goes...

I'll visiting Japan again soon with (recently retired) mother in tow. Aside from feeling like Principal Skinner I've no real problems. However, whilst I have nothing specific in mind to buy she has a mission.

My little cousin is crazy about Ultraman and, like all little boys, wants toys. So I need to know some toy stores or any other stores that sell this kind of stuff. He's still fairly small so I'm not looking for model kits but rather stuff like figures.

I'm mainly going to be staying in Tokyo (although there will be two nights in Osaka) and I'm fairly comfortable using the trains to get around so travelling about won't be a problem.

A branch of Sakuraya in Shinjuku has a model/hobby shop. Yodobashi Camera-Akiba is probably a good place to try as well, along with the various Yodobashi Camera and Bic Camera stores in Shinjuku.

That place is ridiculous!!! I coulda spent a day in there quite easily.

I didn't, no. There was a TV ad though featuring a boy band duo where they drink a green tea style beverage while the backing track sounds like "Scooby Doo oishii!"

That gave me the giggles and I keep singing it at the most random intervals!
