I think if he was more experienced he'd have hung his leg in there and taken the hit rather than dive. Of course then he'd have been looking for the penalty, which strangely, isnt deemed as evil as diving. Both are bad enough imo.

Yup, as I said earlier in the thread, next time he should just leave his foot in like everyone else does to make sure there is contact then we wouldn't have all this fuss. The most recent high profile case of this I can remember (not wanting to pick on a Utd player) was the Rooney one against Arsenal earlier this season. He could have quite easily jumped over Almunia's arm but instead left his leg in and went down. It's really no different.

On a related note, Darren Bent's dive at the weekend was arguably worse than N'Gog's but that seems to have been ignored???

That's because he's not a dirty foreigner...only foreigners dive. You'd never catch Wayne Rooney dive either.

I don't think he was the first striker there either being a youngster, but I'm sure he scored a few goals in the U teams for France. Why would the national side pick him? Why did Rafa buy Torres? A none prolific striker. Comes to Liverpool and he's become elite. N'Gog has come to Liverpool and, well re-read that sats I posted above.

Nah I think N'Gog looks quite decent to be fair. Pitty your manager doesn't have the sense to start him every game though
