At least the game was a decent myth-buster.
4-4-2 is not more attacking than 4-5-1 (and it's variations). No decent sides play 4-4-2 anymore, there is a reason for that, even if Andy Gray can't quite work it out.
Playing two (or even 3) "holding" midfielders is probably not such a bad idea if you want to control the game.
Man-for-Man marking at set-pieces is really no better than zonal-marking.
Thought Gerrard reverted back to his erratic self in the middle after a quite sensible game against Arsenal. Giving the ball away 11 times in open play is not really good enough for a top centre-mid imo. The effort was there from him, which is always great to see, but I think you want him doing what he does in the final third.
