Wow I've never seen so many people change their feelings and opinions in such a short space of time!
Up down up down. Beginning of the season was hope, then after Arsenal game was steady optimism, then came Citeh and then total dispear. Now this.

I think its more surprise at the fact the club are going to even reinvest any kind of money in the playing staff.

It'd still be a difficult ask to do much with the squad that is there at the moment.

Liverpool website has confirmed the signing of Meireles. 14mil Euro. Not a bad deal.

Happy with that, lets hope the team can get a good result tomorrow. I think, realistically, we wont know anything about Woy and his boys until well into October.

Turgid game saved by a splendid Torres volley. It was important to get a win under our belts before the international break so I'll take that.

Hopefully, we'll get better the more we play. I think we're just a bit rusty and need a little more composure in the centre of midfield. I hope Meireles can come in and do a job from the off.

I want Agger back in the centre of defence. Skrtel acts dangerously rash quite a bit. Hope we can get that left back position looking fairly solid again soon. Is Aurelio injured?

Really hoping Meireles settles quick, Poulsen AND Lucas doesn't work for me so our season is pretty much riding on him...

It was a bit depressing to see us set-up to play counter-attacking football against West Brom at home, but that has been a feature of all our games so far. Anyway, early days and all that.

Never really rated Konchesky at all, but he's a red now, so hopefully he'll slot in and do a decent job - as hoolak says above it'll be worth it just to get Agger back in the middle.
Once we have him carrying the ball out of defence we might be able to play a little further up the pitch than we are at present.

Rumours about Ilorente are exciting, hopefully some truth behind them.
