Jesus, Carlton Cole is the new Emile Heskey. Granted he doesn't spend as much time on the floor, he is injury prone and manages to miss gilt edged chances with an alarming regularity.

So...we're back in the exact same situation as last year then.
The squad is weak in the same areas, strikers and left & right backs. And by letting Aquilani and Benayoun go, and only bringing in Cole, we're weaker in terms of midfield guile too I would say.

Not buying a striker is so mad it just defies belief.

I think, with N'gog improving as he always is, we'll deal better this year compared to last.

However, the left back situation is crap. Aurelio needs to stay fit and Konchesky is a strange one, he may well do a job, but the club needs more than just a job done on most ocassions.

Right back isn't so bad, what with Kelly's emergence and even Stephen Darby as third choice is ok.

Basically a finishing position the same as last years would be acceptable with the current squad.

Well, the much talked about 'player account' should have a hefty amount of profit in it, enough that we should be able to afford almost anyone, if Purlsow sticks to his word on buying and selling.

But I think we'll look to get someone either in on a free, or look to get an agreement signed for someone on the last 6 months of a contract to come in at the seasons end...like Bobby Zamora.

Edit: Unless you mean he's come in to create things in the midfield? Always looked a good player when I've seen him, but not the sort to find the final pass to often.

Van Der Vart would have been a nice addition esp. at £8 mill. But I suppose that kind of glamour signing isn't possible anymore

I'd take him over Joe Cole any day at number 10.

Does anybody know if there is a place online that has/will list the 25 man squads for all the teams in the league?
Trying to find out how many other clubs don't have enough senior players to name a full squad (Liverpool only have 22).

EDIT: Liverpool have only named 21 players.
