Yeah, sounds like a massive stalemate is in store

No...I think that the fact that the debt is due next week will force this through....

Are things finally going to start getting better?!

Please be sorted, a little sceptical but anything has to be better than the current set up.

Ignorance of what? Care to actually refute anything?

We'll have to wait and see. But it sounds like this guy isn't as wealthy as some would hope. So i wouldn't start thinking that we're gonna see any signifanct increase in transfer spending.

We don't know what commitments these guys are going to give to building the stadium, how that will be finananced, what the impact would be on transfer spend. I'm cautiously optimiistic. However only in the hope that it couldn't get worse, could it?

Apparently Red Sox fans like them as owners and they seem to be progressive in regard to taking the team forward.

Seriously, has one of our so called fans compared the club to occasionally buying a burger king? And bragging that it's better than MacDonalds? No wonder it's so quiet round the club these days. Where's your passion?

If that is the level of commitment shown by some of our so called support, seriously stay away. Or at the very least get yourself clued up on what it is to support this club.

It seems that there will only be a little money (if any) for transfers come the window, but at least the debt will be wiped and we can start making money again (And I will start buying Liverpool FC merchandise again).

It's not the fans club, its the owner's club. I don't claim that Burger King is my company because I eat there occasionally and I tell people that their burgers are better than McDonalds. Heck no matter what happens, it's not going to be Hick's club for much longer anyway.

At least they're not burning US flags for the camera now but I don't see any point to those kinds of videos. Change in ownership is happening no matter what, what Liverpool fans should be doing is trying to attract the a smart investor who's willing to splash out and treat the club as a long term investment. Videos like that don't attract smart investors.
Totally agree, that video was one of the most crass things I've ever seen. The fans do not own the club, they support it.

I'm sorry, but if we, the fans, don't grumble, then we may have become stuck with these muppets in charge. It doesn't matter how it's done, just make some noise. Over-the-top is good.

What if your clubs were ran by someone who was sucking the life out of your club, promising stuff, only to be building debt? Would you keep quiet because it's not your business? Without you buying tickets to see the game, the shirts, etc, then there wouldn't be a business. The fans are part of this, bigtime.

So yeah, we do support it. Support it with money a lot of the time.

I can understand people being xenophobic having a bad taste in their mouth from H&G. But I'm sure, at the end of the day that fans will not be as angry towards more Americans coming in once the red mist has died down.

Can safely say I'm not a fan.

It also doesn't mean any more to be a Liverpool fan than it does to be a Man U fan, an Arsenal fan, a Chelsea fan or an Accrington Stanley fan. Frankly the attitude taken by a lot of Liverpool fans that they're "better" than supporters of other clubs is annoying and sometimes insulting to other clubs. There's playful banter and then there's superiority complexes.

Fans may like to think that they're the ones leading the club and that owners come and go but history has shown that is simply not the case. Whoever the new owners are, could quite easily sell Anfield to build a supermarket there, move the team to a cheaper location and rename them to the "Merseyside Dons"

Fans can grumble, have a moan, let the owners know how they feel but they need to be realistic and realise, it's the fans letting the owners how they feel, they're just influencing, they're not the ones who will be making the decisions nor does their views supplant the owner's.
