    ^^ Truth. We were excellent.

I also found it strange they picked Kewells mistakes to highlight instead of the quality he displayed during his performance, we all know the guy is just coming back from bad injurys there was no need to highlight it.

Arsenal draw against the Newcastle team that were apparently shambolic (so our performance wshould not have bee read too much into). Our 4 "best" performances where all said the other team were shambolic:
Bolton (prev game beat Man U)
        Newcastle (draw with Arsenal after)
        Derby (beat Newcastle)
        Besiktas (beat Marseille)

Tip to all teams - lose to Liverpool and your season will improve afterwards!

Arsenal were playing without flamini, fabregas, hleb and RVP and against a side who rose to the occasion, closed everything down and had a **** excuse for a ref ignoring every foul they made.

so all in all, 1 point isn't too bad.

gilberto's days are over now though.

anyway, went slightly off topic there

How long is Fabregas expected to be out?

Malavon, I'd love to be sympathetic but, a squad is what people want isn't it? Nobody lets Liverpool off for their injuries - maybe cos nobody knows our first team!
Newcastle are/were considered a shower of **** about 3 hours ago. They got through to Arsenal where they had not managed it against plenty of other teams. The reason I raised it cos I heard on 606 a few weeks back after the Newcastle game about how it was slightly embarassing that it seemed to be that whenever a team lost to Liverpool, the manager was suddenly **** and the team was in crisis. There just seems to be a lot of melodrama about it.

anyone else reading rumours that the Liverpool-Besiktas game is one of the ones being investigated by UEFA for match fixing?

I read rumours and apparently today UEFA have said they're not following up any matches involving Liverpool FC.

Annoying cos we didn't play badly at all.

A little peeved at the ref in the first half. Carragher gave away a stupid foul - outside the box. Torres felled twice with no contact on the ball inside area. Even Momo was on the deck in the area. Oh well. C'est la vie.

These thing even themselves out - look at all the dubious penalties the other big teams have conceded...

Just saw a replay on motd and it was a penalty, foot was on the line. Linesman got a bit lucky with the decision though as he couldn't have know for sure, but was still a penalty.

And in any case, carraghers got away with so many fouls in the box this season it's about time he got punished for it.

It was outside and Carragher has been poor this season. But he has fouled and got away with it against Everton. Noone else unless you wanna tell me when?

When was the foot on the line? At the moment of contact???? The foul obviously took place outside. Not seen MOTD but I wonder if they showed the Torres fouls... One of them was right in front of the ref.

Ah well. We must walk on. The mancs have had their slip ups, so...

Never watched the game due to gigging so can't really comment. Gutted though

7 points behind with a pesky game in hand. Not too bad I guess but, next week is big.

I seem to remember carragher fouling and getting away without a penalty the week after the Everton game, I cant remember who it was, but it was either whoever they played in the champions league or whoever they played in the premier league next game.

Hes probabaly done it again to be honest though cant say for sure. He has been pretty bad this season though youre right, and it deffinitley was a penalty... maybe I have googley eyes or somthing but it looked inside the box to me from every angle. But anyway they proved it on TV so it must be true...
