Yeah, I always look forward to the England games, if just for the pundits banter.

Team played alright, goals were a bit fortunate, but we were always in charge.

We won, thats all. I find it strange that club fans will say I don't care how we play as long as we win, but when it comes to England we seem to expect so much more. It was a dull game, we won and didn't have to try.
      That will do for me.

3 lucky lucky goals basically. Absolute travesty for the beautiful game.
Well, be happy its not as bad as Holland. I'm suffering loads. My god... now THATS travesty!

I think all the big European teams are in bad doing, but England and Portugal might be the least bad of the bunch... Germany easily the best. Lets pray that Italy won't come through, they are always a tough nut to crack.

What the hell happened? It was all looking fine. I think we should take a sweepstake on who will be blamed tomorrow and made to be a figure of public hate.

                  1. MacLaren
                  2. The pitch
                  3. The referee
                  4. A specific England player

Once again England have thrown it away pretty much, after the equaliser they just buckled under the pressure. No-one in particular is to blame, the players just didnt have enough to hold on for a win or even a draw. Have to hope Israel hold Russia now, otherwise the embaressment of not going to a major tournament will have to be faced.

To be fair Robbison couldnt do anything about either goal really.

Personaly I'd blame Gerrard, over the last 4 England games all hes done is given the ball away, he has hardly done anything right when playing for England recently, missing that sitter today was just another indication of it.

Our inability to keep our cool under pressure has been our downfall once again. We just seem unable to keep the ball when we are leading, putting us under so much pressure that it is almost inevitable that we will concede at some point.

It happened throughout the Sven years and now its happening again under McClaren. You don't see the successful international nations doing this, which is why we will never win anything at this level.

100% true! England are the "poorest" of the major international teams out there. These days if England don't win, it is not a surprise to me at all as before it would have been.

Pretty much what I was going to say. Can count on one hand the number of times we strung more than a couple of passes.

2nd goal Robinson has to catch or push it wide - he did neither so has to go down as another **** up by him.

I think he saw it pretty late actualy, then he almost got to it the second time, so I wouldnt call it a **** up really.
