Ok, they got alot better did the England men. Shame about the Brazil goal. A bit lax on the marking there. Dyer looked much lively didn't he?

Wasnt great, agree with whats been said about lampard. The only time they looked any good was when they picked up the pace just after the first goal, but also a shocking lack of technial prowese displayed by supposedly international calibre players. Would have given becks man of the match myself.

Just got back in from the game from good old Wembley, wasn't the greatest match and the draw was the fair result. Had a great time, the fans created a great atmosphere and the stadium itself is brilliant. Funny the way everyone boo'd Lampard, not that he didn't deserve it
Some pics for you guys.

Gerrard and Beckham were superb.
Owen is still finding his feet after being injured and out of action for such a long time; that all important goal will come to him soon.
Lampard was not the player we see when playing for Chelsea.
I only watched the last 20 minutes and I really enjoyed it, which is rare for an England game these days. I loved Beckham's standing ovation - the whole stadium got on their feet and cheered.

Pleased Beckham had a good game. I was very much in favour of dropping him after the World Cup. He was anonymous and displayed none of the desire and drive that a captain of Enlgand should possess. His form was poor and he played like a man who had got too chummy with the manager and took his place for granted. That could be said about a number of England players at the time and maybe they should have been booted too, but for the captain to be so off the boil was slightly more inexcusable. He seems to have got his act together now, though. He forced that dude at Madrid to pick him after swearing he wouldn't, then by all accounts led the charge for the title. I've absolutely no problem with England picking a player who is putting in maximum effort, is in good form and has a renewed respect and desire for the shirt.
It's actually worked in his favour and given him a much-needed kick up the arse.
