Every team goes through a bad patch. Stick with him. It's not like there are better available alternatives out there.

So he's good enough to win the double last season, but a run of 8-9 bad matches proves he'll never be able to do it again and should be got rid of? You could finish sixth this year and he still could turn it around and win the title next year. I suppose that's modern football though.

You let a lot of quality and experience go at the end of the season, some was the clubs choice and some players like Carvalho wanted to leave. Problem is that you didn't replace any of the players. I'm astonished that Chelsea thought that the kids were good enough to step up to the first team squad, they simply aren't.

I know you had an injury crisis that was beyond usual expectation but had Chelsea still had last years squad they would have been fine.

Smurfy, why are you instantly blaming the manager and not putting anything at the players? < Anelka, Drogba, Kalou and others have looked totally disinterested lately.

Getting rid of Ancelotti isn't going to fix any of Chelsea's problems. The season isnt a complete write-off already is it?

FA Cup, Champions League and Qualification place to play for, can't afford to write off the season. We can still end the season on a high (just ask Hiddink how you can salvage a 'lost' season)

Have you been reading my posts? I haven't exactly been glowing with praise for lots of the players, especially Kalou and Ramieres who I think are by far and away the worst performing players. I've been slamming into them since almost the start of this run of form.

Kalou misses unacceptable amounts of chances (our two problems are shocking defensive lapses and an inability to turn possession into goals), Ramieres is lightweight, can't deliver the fast paced balls we need to tear apart teams that stick 9 men in the box and generally stifles the creativity up front.

McCaechron has impressed me, he need to bulk up and toughen up but I think he's done pretty well when he's played for someone so young. He's at least been deserving of some starts over Ramieres who needs a kick up the arse.

Drogba and Anelka both get frustrated when they're not getting the ball, Drogba in particular has a habbit of sulking.

3-0 before half time, hopefully we can get some confidence back.

Away to Everton next round not an easy draw for sure... looks like we'll be the 'big game' of the 4th round

Not amazing but we got the result and started to play well towards the end. Finally catching a bit of a break.

Sturridge deserved a start or at least more playtime than he got after his performance in the FA Cup, Ancelotti lacks the guts to do big gestures like that though. McCeachron and Sturridge are both on the verge of showing their worth, they need to be given a chance, especially when they've worked hard.

Not a bad weekend for us all in all with Man U and Spurs drawing.

Gonna be tough tonight, 3 points would give us some breathing space above Spurs.

Would like to push for the automatic qualification place which is still well within reach too.

I think if Chelsea find some form then it will be tough for Spurs to keep up. Man City have still got a lot of tough away matches, I actually think we might have more chance of catching them than Chelsea.

Not an amazing first half overall but two clinical finishes including a stunner from Drogba. We're too slow to break on the counter and we give the ball away far too easily in the middle.

Still, we're coping defensively and it's the result that matters. About time we got some results when we're not playing well.

                              Excellent!

We're getting the goals now Anelka looked more confident than he's looked in month. We just need to sort out our starts, not many teams will let us play like we did in the first 15 minutes.
