Not the same ones where a significant majority of so called Footy fans 'actually' get to their Footy, compared to actually watching football games at a football ground?

What next anyone that happens to be a fan of Top Gear, Must think all Women can't drive; based on the views/comments of the tabloid Top Gear presenters

Right...but it depends on his relationship with Charlotte Jackson, she seems to have found it far from funny at the time.
Whether you think it was 'harmless' or not, this incident, coupled with the sexist comment about the lineswoman, has led to Gray's dismissal.
Also, I wouldn't dream of making such a comment to a female colleague, but if I did and it was reported, then my employers would take a very dim view of it and I would expect to be dealt with severely. You just can't make those kind of comments to people and expect to get away with it (unless the person is your close friend and would see the 'funny' side to it, I guess).
Gray's comments to Jackson could be interpreted as sexual harassment, regardless of how 'funny' or 'silly' anyone finds this, it's fact.

Spot on, and you're not going to get that from a 11 second YOUTUBE clip. Do you think Georgie Thompson gets upset with Soccer AM jokes about her Box?, or do you think she knows and can see funny side ?

I was quite clear , SKY should have sacked Andy right after his comments about the Official

Lets live in the real world... it happens and Women can be equally as bad as the men at it. In One of my old job the Women section would have a Sign 'No men allowed' during the Christmas Bullweek and could have plenty of choice comments, but it was all meant in a light hearted way

And Speaking of sexism or talking down women ... On the SKY News Presenters Thread on this very Board , Is there any of talk of their Professionalism, or is they more talk on how FIT they are and what a fine Rack the likes of Natalie Sawyer have .

Is that a bit of harmless fun or something more serious ?

Tabloids told you , or have you any real statistics and real proof to back up such claims?

That would only be sexist if we said that being a hot woman meant they couldn't be good a presenter. As it is we're simply stating a fact when we point out they have top notch racks and so forth

I can assure you I do 'live in the real world', and I've also dealt with many cases of sexual harassment and dismissals that have resulted from comments similar to Gray's...it's called 'the law', regardless of your or my interpretation of it, one person's harmless banter is another person's deeply offensive remark...regardless of what you, I or anyone else thinks, you simply can't put yourself in that person's shoes, because you don't know their feelings.
It doesn't matter what happened in previous workplaces or about topics discussed here or there.
Sky dismissed him for the incident with Massey AND the incident with Jackson, that's the facts.

Yes. In 2008 The Daily Mirror sponsored a study into thick people who also like football using specially modified pregnancy testing kits.

Either that or I'm just basing my opinion on what I've encountered when watching football in the company of other people. Labeling people using broad terms such as thick or indeed not thick is somewhat subjective, I don't think we'll be seeing stats published on it any time soon.

Obviously if Sky do use these recent events to shake up their approach to the coverage of English football and bring it in line with the quality of their La Liga programming, which is rather good, I will be delighted to admit I have underestimated both them and the viewers.

                        Food for thought:

Andy Gray just launched legal action against news international for phone tapping...

Its also called PC gone mad .
How many men think women, with regards to driving or more so reversing are worse than themselves? How many women think then men have no dress sense, no sense of style or can't organise anything ?

Would anyone doing real sexual harassment ,be conducting it in front of the camera's and back room Studio crew? . Or was it just a bad case of a old sad man, trying to crack a joke at a rather attractive women.

I or anyone else thinks, you simply can't put yourself in that person's shoes, because you don't know their feelings.
No we can't and we can't also really go on a 11 sec YouTube clip

Sky dismissed him for the incident with Massey AND the incident with Jackson, that's the facts
Imo SKY should have sacked him for the Massey mess alone .

Oh I think it is Subjective . Do you only watch Football at the grounds, never on Live TV, Streaming or on Highlight shows like Match of the Day?.

Some people had issues Kelvin MacKenzie with regards to a Julie Peasgood views on Video gaming on Alan Tichmarsh shows, Alan Guess views seemed to based on nothing actually factual at all .

I'm not entirely sure what/why you're asking, but anyway...
It's pretty rare I watch any TV at all, football or otherwise. I probably end up watching about 7 or 8 Liverpool games a season on TV/Stream if I can't get there, but that's about it.

In my opinion, Sky should have sacked Keys too...but like I said, that's just my opinion.
It doesn't matter if the Youtube clip is 11 seconds or 11 hours, and yes, people do commit sexual harassment in front of other people...it's because they think they are untouchable or have the power to do so, or they think they are being clever and do it to impress their mates...it wouldn't surprise me if Gray thought he could make such comments without consequence, because in his own mind he thought he was untouchable being part of Sky's sports coverage for over 20 years and he was also acting up in front of his mate, Keys...
