PDC is available. He's a good boss. Really stable.

Ha, but who else is free and good? Souness?
The joys of being a Spurs fan eh.

        Oh FFS.

That's madness, surely it's going to take a season (or two) to get the best out of all those new players.

The 6-0 was embarrassing but as I said in the Spurs thread, for all the trouble we're having getting the team to gel we've actually had a better start than last season (points wise) and are closer to the top four / top of the league than we were at the same stage last season. 4 points behind 2nd place and 2 points behind 4th place with 26 matches to go isn't exactly a disaster.

I'm hoping it's the usual newspaper click-baiting bull****. Zero quotes in that article, not even from the fabled "club insider". There was a similar article in The Sun last season saying that the players were on the verge on mutiny as they hated AVB's methods and wanted him out, and we then promptly beat Man Utd at Old Trafford with an extremely committed display.

Having said that, this is modern football, and it's Spurs, so nowt would surprise me.

              Yeah just rumours hopefully.

It would cost spurs a fortune to get rid of him, not only in compensation but getting in a new gaffer who would obviously then want his own players in. Selling the ones you have bought would leave you with a big loss at the moment as well surely?

Have to wait and see how the Europa and Man U games go and see where we stand this time next week. Hope he does stay, don't get me wrong.

Well that's if you take it as read that the article is accurate and AVB really is on the verge of getting the sack.

It's one article, in one newspaper, nobody else has picked it up and it's not even getting a mention on Sky Sports, Football 365, barely a mention on the BBC. For all we know it's the same as most articles in the sports section, a fluff piece designed to fill up a bit of space and generate clicks.

At the moment I'm erring on the side of it likely being rubbish. A 6-0 win over Man Utd would be nice though

The media like AVB and Spurs, that's why. If it was someone else...they'd be all over it.

                      The media like AVB?

Owner Assem Allam tells fans they "can die as soon as they want" after protests about his plans to change Hull's name.

I am aware that the quote is being taken slightly out of context, but talk about being naive and undiplomatic.

I know, sensational journalism as it's best.

Also thought it strange the BBC Football pages even quoted Joey Essex in a comparison and linked to the The Mirror during the Man U game today.

Decent game I thought earlier, though a point didn't really help either team with Arsenal winning yesterday.

Now come on LFC, we need three points today due to said Arsenal.

I don't understand why football supporters are so utterly against change of any sort. It's a slight rebrand that's all. You have to move with the times to survive! I don't like how football has become all about money but it has and there is nothing we can do about it.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce says Assem Allam was misinterpreted in a dispute with supporters over rebranding the club.

No Bruce, he didn't say that. While I think the media have had a field day taking the quote out of context, there's no way that it can be interpreted in the way that Bruce is trying to.
