Yeah exactly, it was a slight grab at best and very soft but as soon as you lay and arm on someone in the box they are bound to go down.

To be fair, Bafana Bafana didn't get that much help in 2010 - they were eliminated at the group stage.

In the end Brazil looked almost like England .. Lacking in ideas and no real sparkle. The 3-1 score was flattering at best, at worst an insult to Croatia.

Yeah that was in no way a penalty, but then if Brazil hadn't won that opening game there would have been a lot of **** flying around. Someone obviously had a word with the ref beforehand and reminded him that they needed to win.

It showed . With lack that pathetic Japnese ref will never be allowed to Ref in the tournament. That said its seems only Yes men get anywhere with FIFA, so they'll be plenty more idiots to take his place . I suspect that FIFA have order the Refs to give England a hard time too

Good goal for Mexico just incorrectly ruled out for offside.

Surely it's not beyond our ingenuity to find a way of deciding offsides by video that wouldn't hurt the flow of the game.

Indeed, not blaming the linesman at all, just a shame when you see a perfectly good goal chalked off.

I don't want to see every single decision analysed but matter of fact situations that can lead to a goal, would be nice if those were always correct. Fit the players and ball with tracking chips, linked up to a computer that automatically works out in real time if anybody is offside when a pass is played. Easy

We'd still all be able to argue the toss over judgement calls like harsh red cards and such like
