Which other forums do you visit to buy/sell games?

Wasn't sure where exactly to put this post; figured here would do. Anyway, I've bought a lot of stuff from a lot of good people here; I've also dabbled with rllmuk, though not everyone there (in my experience) looks after their stuff / describes it as well as people here.

Enough flattery, though. What other forums do you buy your games from? Any particular recommendations? (NB. Unless otherwise stated, you'll need to register to access their trading forums; it's also worth reading the comments below for a better idea.)

    NTSC-UK (here, hooray!)
    rllmuk - http://www.rllmukforum.com/index.php?showforum=45
    The DVD Forums - http://www.thedvdforums.com/forums/f...splay.php?f=12
    AVForums - http://www.avforums.com/forums/gamin...sified-adverts
    NeoGeo.com - http://www.neo-geo.com/ (Goto Forums > Market)
    Atari Age - http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showforum=6

This website is for sale! thedvdforums.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, thedvdforums.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

Love the place above. Only really sell games there and here.

This is the main one for me, I have a quick look at a a couple of others from time to time but the only others I use are three forums that are all private.

When looking at GameTrailers main page they have a list of recent forum topics which sometimes get a smile out of me.

Current topics that are showing:Very occassionally I'll have a look to find out that it's a load of 12 year old kids with comments that only seem to consist of a few words rearranged into a different order. The words they seem to use are GTFO, fanbois, ....is so gai, blog it!!! & banned in 10

      EDIT:
Looking back, it wasn't really a very helpful post when it comes to buying/selling as this is the only general one I use but hopefully it's the GT links will show people just how bad places can be compared to here.

Yeah, there are some rotten sites out there, for sure. I'll add dvdforums to the list - another register-before-you-buy site.

          I'm loyal to NTSC

Loyal to here after a couple of bad experiences over on thedvdforums a year or so ago - where you realised that being a completely trustworthy trader/poster for many years counted for nothing with the mods/site owner when an issue arose.

So, yeah, NTSC-UK all the way for me!

Snap, big fan of the site having being a member there for years, most long term members are totally sound and I've only ever had one problem there in 7 years of trading/selling.

Also the avforums.com guys seem to be great as well in my experience.

If I'm honest I'd rather sell on ebay/amazon marketplace/playtrade as you can end up with more ? even after fees. Most people on the specialist sites are far too aware of bargains !

I do most of my trading here. Compared to other forums we have a great bunch of people here (ok I'm biased!). The vast majority are 100% trustworthy, look after their stuff, prices are on the whole realistic and there isn't a lot of lowballing. Quite often trading takes a backseat to the banter.

It says a lot about the forum that people will happily sell stuff here for less than they could get for it elsewhere. Guess it's for the warm feeling of knowing you've done another member a good turn

I've also done the odd trade on rllmuk. Another good bunch but the trading folder isn't as active & the lack of any kind of feedback thread makes it a bit hit & miss.

I will also buy / sell on AVF from time to time but tend to find the condition of stuff isn't always that good and prices can be a tad unrealistic. There also tends to be a growing hotdealsuk brigade there too who regardless of asking price will always lowball you or tell you how much the play.com are selling it for. On the plus sides the trading boards are active, there is a lot of non-gaming stuff for sale, the feedback system is good and the mods are active and will try to help when deals go bad.

Mostly just NTSC. Sometimes have a look at RLLMUK. Together they do me fine for games.

I'd love to find a place with a decent cd trading section, however.

I mainly use AV, where i have tons of feedback, and here as both of these forums have a really good set of regular members or posters so to speak. I also generally find myself posting in all the threads on here and not just the trading thread and you get a good bit of banter as well. I like the fact i can come on here to look for games then spend about two hours discussing footy, atheism, women are evil (lol) or whatever

Have done a few deals on Rllmuk but as someone else has said, it tends to be very slow moving, and the fact that you can't PM until after 50 posts can make things awkward. It is also a very friendly forum in most cases.

I have also used Hotdealsuk but as the forum moves so fast with all types of deals it can be a real pain in the arse keeping up with anything and you get a lot of lowballers, scammers and quite rude posters on there.

                    I will try the DVDForum

Here, Digital Press and AtariAge are probably the main three...

I'm probably being a bit dumb, but I couldn't find a specific market place on Digital Press, even after I'd registered. Do I have to wait a day or so like rllmuk, or have I just missed something?

I also use AVforums, but kinda have mixed feelings about that site. The for sale threads are overwhelmed with people bumping their posts to the top, but it makes sense because of the rules against PM. I kinda assumed when I first went on there that everyone on DVD & gaming forums would take the same care of disks that I do, and I was shocked when I received a handful of DVDs that look like a cat had clawed them out of the ex-rentals bin. I just don't feel AVforums is quite as friendly as here and find the rules a tiny bit constricting.

The way i see it is, if you respect the forum, the forum respects you (well, thats the idea)

So im loyal as the blue in my name. Ive used other forums briefly, but Ive never really felt the need to venture to uncharted territory since Online stores are currently doing some great deals..........

Mostly here, although I have bought a few things from rllmuk. For whatever reason, they refuse to use the same feedback system as on here, so I much prefer this place, as well as the names on here being more familiar.

I would never use AVforums - the myriad of rules is bewildering. Also, if I would a seller, I wouldn't want to have to accept the first offer that met the asking price if I didn't want to sell to that buyer. It should, IMO, be up to the seller to whom he wants to sell.

However, I find the disputed trades folder there quite interesting to see the points made and how they resolve them. I have sometimes used them in my business English classes.
